Game Description: You are the Puzzle Prince, a prince with magical powers! Do you have what it takes to battle against zombies, monsters and other bad guys in this amazing puzzle battler? Please Note: Before playing Puzzle Prince in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page. By the way, don't let the length of this review scare you into not playing this fine game. I always try to be as thorough as possible. But sometimes, perhaps, I tend to overdo it a bit and get rather long-winded. This game is easy to play, and easy to understand. The only tricky part is perhaps figuring out when to click the 'Save' button, which is part of the game strategy.

How to Play Puzzle Prince:

• You are the Puzzle Prince, a prince with magical powers!
• There are 5 types of orbs: Water (Blue), Fire (Red), Earth (Green), Air (Pink), and Evil Orbs (Black).
• Use the power of the 4 elemental orbs (Water, Fire, Earth, and Air), that is, Blue, Red, Green, and Pink to conjur up powerful magic to defeat your enemies by clicking on groups of orbs of the same color to break them open and throw magic at your enemies! (Evil Orbs, that is, Black Orbs, cannot be clicked on or broken. However, Evil Orbs will automatically turn into elemental orbs after only a few seconds).
• There are 4 spell cards on the board. Each card represents one of the 4 elements: Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. Water and Earth, (Blue and Green), are on the left. Fire and Air, (Red and Pink), are on the right.
• Each card has a magic bar directly below it. Each time you break an orb, the magic bar for that color increases (the larger the group you destroy, the quicker the magic bar increases!) Once the bar fills up completely, the card will glow around its edges. This tells you that the card is ready to be used. You can use that card to cast a powerful spell against your enemies by clicking on it.
• A spell card may be used an infinite number of times. Each time you fill up the bar below the card, you may use that card again and again.
• Puzzle Price has 11 Levels of play: Harbour, Village, Witch Lake, Dark Ruins, River, Evil Woods, Caves of Fire, Citadel Dungeon, Caves of Ice, Citadel, and Throne Room.
• Each of the first 10 levels has 2 separate battles called waves. (Level 11, the final level, has only 1 wave).
• There are 2 things to watch at the top of the screen: Your Health (depicted by the red bar on the left), and your Enemies' Health (depicted by the pink bar at the right).
• You win a battle if you can destroy your enemies' health before he destroys yours. You lose if your health gets down to zero first.
• When you win a level, (by defeating the 2 waves of enemies), you earn money. Your health also increases by 10% when you begin the next level.
• You may spend your money in the Shop, to upgrade your cards and make your spells more powerful, by clicking the 'Shop' button.
• Each spell card has 4 levels. You begin the game at Level 1 for each card. You may upgrade each card to Level 2, 3, or 4 when you have enough money. (Hint: I recommend that you only buy the Level 4 card for each card. Find out why in my Playing Tips section below).
• You may only have 4 cards at a time. One of each color.
• You may save your game progress by clicking the 'Save' button. However, do not make this decision lightly. It is important to understand when to save your game, and when not to save your game. When to save your game, and when not to save your game, is a big part of the Puzzle Prince game strategy. To find out exactly what I mean, and to find out about the mistake I made the first time I played the game, read my Playing Tips section below.
• If you lose a level you will see a 'Game Over' screen. However, your game is not really over! Far from it. What 'Game Over' really means is that you can begin playing again at the last point you saved your game (called the 'Save Point'). You can see the 'Save Point' on the map.
• When you lose a level you can either choose to save your score, or not. (Read more about saving your score in the next section). After either clicking 'No Thanks', or submitting your score, it is time to resume your saved game.
• To continue a saved game, always click the 'Load Game' button.
• If you should accidently click the 'New Game' button, don't worry too much. Your saved game will still be there as long as you have not saved your new game. (If you do save your new game, your previous game will be lost forever). To get back to your saved game, simply click the 'Load Game' button.
• You should not click the 'Save' button simply because you want to quit playing and come back later. (If you want to come back later, you can either click the 'Quit' button or simply leave the page. Either way, and your game will be automatically saved without clicking the 'Save' button. The only requirement would be to use the same computer when you return). Remember, only click the 'Save' button if you want to change the 'Save Point'.

Puzzle Prince Game Options: The game options may be accessed by clicking the 'Options' button located at the upper right corner. (During game play the 'Options' button will be located near the lower right corner). The game options are:

• The music volume may be adjusted.
• The game sounds volume may be adjusted.

Puzzle Prince Playing Tips:

• Each time you use a spell card not only do you attack your enemies, but there are two other very important advantages. The first advantage is that extra orbs will be dropped unto the board for the color of the card that you just used. It is important to realize that all new orbs are dropped from the top. This means that they are usually dropped in large groups, which allows you to make more big matches quickly. The second important advantage is that each spell card you use increases your health by 20%! So, the obvious strategy is to use as many spell cards as quickly as you can.
• You can only use 1 major spell at one time, and when you are doing that you cannot fire magic bolts at your enemies.
• Different colored magic has different effects on your enemies. Some spells will work better than others, depending on the enemy.
• The smallest magic bolts do not stop your enemies but will still do some small amount of damage. It's always better to try to group as many orbs together as possible.
• The second wave of Level 4 (the giant) is really tough. The only way it seems to me to defeat the giant is to make lots and lots of big orb matches. Casting spells on the giant seems to have little effect. However, casting spells is still important because it does bring more orbs to the board and increases your health by 20%. So make a lot of big matches, and cast a lot of spells, and you will eventually defeat the giant.
• My advice is not to buy any level cards unless you can afford to buy a Level 4 card (that is, the highest upgrade available for each card). What I am trying to say is this. You only have a limited amount of money to spend on your cards. I think the best approach is to try to end the game with Level 4 cards for each of the 4 elements if you can, and there is simply not enough money to spend on Level 2 and Level 3 cards. You are better off if you save your money and buy only Level 4 cards.
• The magic bars below each spell card carry over to the next level at their current capacities. Ideally you would like your 4 magic bars to be near full capacity when you finish a level. This will allow you to attack your enemies quickly, drop new orbs on the board, and quickly replenish your health.
• Make it a priority to finish each level with as much health as you can. If you complete a level with too little health left, this can create a real problem, especially if you compound things by saving your game at that point. Let me give you my own example. The first time I played Puzzle Prince I saved my game after I completed Level 10. This placed the 'Save Point' on Level 11. This meant that if I failed Level 11, I could not go back in the game any farther. My only choice would be to repeat Level 11 over and over. However what I failed to realize is that when I arrived at Level 11, I had very little health left. Even though my health increased from Level 10 by 10% (at the end of each level your health will automatically increase by 10%.), it was still extremely low. Think of it this way. When you add 10% to almost nothing, you still have almost nothing. Even though my 4 magic bars were near full capacity as I begin Level 11, adding 20% to my miniscule health each time I played a magic card, still could not help me enough. So, without enough health to begin Level 11, and after repeating it countless times, I finally decided to give up and begin a New Game back at Level 1. Don't let this happen to you! (Here is an update. I did go back to Level 1 and started over. On my second time playing the game, I finally managed to complete Level 11, which is the final level. I was able to do this by having more health when I started Level 11).
• Do not click the 'Save' button unless your health is in a strong position. Continuing my example from above, it is now clear to me what I should have done in retrospect. (Of course, since this was my very first time playing Puzzle Prince I did not know any better). I should not have saved my level progress after Level 10. I should have kept playing, lost Level 11, and then went back and replayed Level 10. This would have allowed me to come back to Level 11 in a much stronger position. My advice now is not to click the 'Save' button unless your health is in a very strong position. You may also not want to click the 'Save' button even if your health is strong but some of your spell cards are at low capacity at the end of a level. The lesson is clear. It is always better to go back and replay a few levels, rather than finding yourself in an unwinnable postion, like I did, and needing to repeat the entire game. So, be very very cautious about clicking the 'Save' button. (The only exception, I would say, would be after completing Level 4. I would recommend clicking the 'Save' button after Level 4 regardless of your health. Here's why. The giant on Level 4, at least for me, is very tough to defeat. Even if you should get struck on Level 5, by not having enough health, and you need to begin the game again back from the beginning, as you gain a little experience you will find that Levels 1 to 3 are fairly easy. So, you will be back at Level 4 very quickly anyway).
• If you should accidently click the 'New Game' button instead of the 'Load Game' button, don't panic! As long as you don't save your new game, your saved game will still be there. To get back to your saved game, click the 'Load Game' button and you will be right back to the point where you last saved it, that is, at the 'Save Point' on the map.

• Once you find all of the items you will automatically move on to the next level of play.
Should you be unable to find every item you may click the 'Skip' button to move to the next level. However, once you click 'Skip' you cannot go back.
• There are 5 fun-filled levels of play.

Con: Sneaky forgot to put a sound button on this particular Sneaky Road Trip game. I do enjoy that wonderful mesmerizing music. In fact, I find the music to be one of the most appealing aspects of these games. However, it is always nice to have the option to turn it off. So, you will have to do it the old-fashioned way and simply adjust your computer speakers.

Bloons 2

Game Description: Pop bloons with darts. Pop at least the required number of bloons to make it to the next level. Not only are there darts. There are bees, boomerangs, airplanes, and all kinds of wonderful things to help you pop the bloons! Each level presents a brand new challenge and will really make you think, and use your imagination, to figure out a solution.

How to Play Bloons 2:

• Once the game fully loads, click the 'Play Game' button. (Note: This is an exceptionally large game file, so it may take a little longer to load than most games).
• The next screen you will see will be the Map. The Map has eight main sections: Popping Fields, Bloon Dunes, Frosty Fun, Sneak Peaks, Rubber Jungle, The Temple of Bloon, Crazy Coast, and Mount Magma. Each section, that I have played so far, contains 12 levels. So it looks like there may be 96 levels in all. You must win each level before you can go on to the next one. (Please Note: You may play the first 72 levels here on Richard's Game Reviews. Crazy Coast and Mount Magma are reserved for the game developer's site).
• If this is your first time playing Bloons 2 you will need to start with the Level 1, so you would click Popping Fields. (You will also see that all of the other Map sections have a lock on them. As you complete a section, the next section will unlock).
• If you are a returning player, you may start on the last level you played by clicking on the corresponding Map section. You may also go back and replay any unlocked level to try to get a higher score.
• The goal of Bloons 2 is to pop the required number of bloons before you run out of darts.
• You shoot the darts with your mouse. Hold down your left mouse button, then release. Control the direction of your shot with mouse movement. Control the strength of the shot with the timing of your release. The longer the arrow, the stronger the shot will be.
• The number of darts you have available is shown just to the right of the green Map button.
• If you pop the required number of bloons (shown as the Target number at the bottom of the screen), you go on to the next level.
• If you fail, you may try as many times as you need until you succeed.
• Should things be going poorly on a level, and you know you will not succeed with your current try, you may click the 'Reset' button rather than shooting the remaining darts. This will reset the level from the beginning.
• You may click the 'View Solution' button, if you have any View Solution credits left, and Bloons 2 will show you a one-time view of how it is done.
• If you have any Super Monkeys left, you may click the 'Skip Level' button. The Skip Level button does not automatically skip a level for you. You must use the Super Monkey to finish the level. The Super Monkey shoots a red beam to pop the bloons and destroy anything else that is in your way. Just remember, you still must pop enough bloons with the Super Monkey to get to the next level. Also, when you use a Super Monkey, you will earn no level points.
• There is also another way to get through a level, and that is with Unlimited Darts. You may turn on the Unlimited Darts by clicking the 'Unlimited Darts' button. This will give you, as the name says, an unlimited amount of darts to use. You can find the 'Unlimited Darts' button near the lower right corner on the level screen after you click a Map section. However, if you do use the Unlimited Darts feature, just like when you use the Super Monkey, you will not earn any points for the level.
• You can always go back, and replay any level again to try to get a higher score.
• Each time you complete a section of the Map, you will earn one additional Super Monkey and one additional Solution Credit.
• Bloons 2 will automatically save all of your level progress, and your game scores, as long as you use the same computer each time you play. So, you can always pick up right where you last left off!

Bloons 2 Game Options:

• The game music and game sounds each have their own control located at the bottom right corner on most game screens.

Bloons 2 Playing Tips:

• Be creative with your shots. Here is just one example. Some levels require that you earn extra darts with a shot before you can complete the level.
• Watch each shot carefully. Find out what works, and what doesn't work.
• I don't want to spoil too much of your fun, but I will just give you this one tip. On Popping Fields, once you release the bees, you will need to guide the bees with your mouse to the areas where you want them to go.
• If you have no more Super Monkeys left, and you still want to make progress, you may use the 'Unlimited Darts' feature. Even though you will earn no points; using the 'Unlimited Darts' feature will at least allow you to progress to the next level. Remember, you can always come back later to any level and try again to earn those points!
• Please Note: There are some short-cut features in this game that require MochiCoins. However, if you are skillful, you may play the entire game for free. It will just take you a while.

Pro: How creative is Bloons 2? This game will really make you think. Not only are there darts. There are bees, boomerangs, airplanes, and all kinds of wonderful things! This game should keep anyone entertained for hours on end!

Con: Sometimes before the last bloon, or two, pops on a level, the game seems to freeze up momentarily.

Beleaguered Castle Solitaire

Game Description: In Beleaguered Castle Solitaire all 52 cards are dealt face up. The 4 aces are dealt to the middle column, and are the foundations. The remaining 48 cards form the tableau, and are dealt in overlapping style in eight rows of six cards each. The object is to move all of the cards from the tableau, to the 4 foundation piles, building each foundation by suit and in sequence from Ace to king.

How to Play Beleaguered Castle Solitaire:

• Once the game fully loads, click the 'Start' button.
• On the next screen you see, click 'Start' once again.
• Beleaguered Castle Solitaire is a card game played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
• Each game begins with all 52 cards dealt face up. The four aces are dealt to the middle column, and are the foundation piles. The remaining 48 cards are dealt in overlapping style in eight rows of six cards each, with four rows to the right, and four rows to the left, of the foundation piles. Those 48 cards are the tableau piles.
• The rank of cards is the usual rank of A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K.
• The foundation piles must be built up in suit and by sequence. Example: Ace of Spades, 2 of Spades, 3 of Spades, and so forth.
• The only moveable cards are the outermost card on each tableau row. (To move a card, simply drag it with your mouse, and release).
• A card may be moved onto the outer end of a different row, provided that it is one rank lower than the card already there regardless of suit. For example: Any 6 may be placed on any 7.
• Any moveable card may be placed in an empty space (that is, in any row with no cards).
• Your goal is to move all 48 tableau cards onto the foundation piles.
• Score 500 points for each card that you place on a foundation.
• A winning score is 24000 points (48 x 500).

Beleaguered Castle Solitaire Game Options: The game options may be accessed by clicking the object that sort of looks like a gear shaft; located just to the right of the question mark near the lower right corner of the game. The game options are as follows:

• The game sounds may be adjusted from low to high.
• The music volume may be adjusted from low to high.
• Full Screen may be turned On or Off. (Yes, you may play Beleaguered Castle Solitaire in Full Screen mode!)

Beleaguered Castle Solitaire Playing Tips:

• The best strategy, it seems to me, is to first remove all cards from one row if you can. This creates an empty space, and will give you some flexibility. Once you accomplish that, you should try to create a second empty space. Now, you have even greater flexibility. Things may still be difficult, but you now have a good chance at winning!

Pro: Beleaguered Castle Solitaire is a fun game of strategy. It is difficult, but certainly not impossible to win.

Con: I am convinced that some hands are simply not winnable. Of course, if you get an impossible hand, you can always click the 'Give Up' button and begin again.

This page has a few more arcade games for you to play. Here are some highlights. Save the Birds is a fun physics game where you must shoot food to the hungry birds. In Stay Yellow you are a little yellow blockhead and you want to stay that way for as long as you can! With Bloons 2 you will need to think, and use your imagination, to figure out how to pop enough bloons to make it to the next level of play. There is also DropSum Colours, which is actually two different games where you will need to destroy the colored tiles by clicking on groups of at least two or more. Finally, there is Ether of Magic Cards and Puzzle Prince, two adventure type arcade games.

Game Description: Release the evil Spider's web and restore the Rainbow Kingdom to its former glory. Swap neighboring beads to make a line of 3 or more matching beads. This line may be horizontal or vertical. Collect all letters from the web to make up a magic phrase and break the spell. This lets you continue your adventure. There are 5 levels of play. Each time you play, the game will be different!

How to Play Rainbow Web:

• After the game fully loads, click the 'Play' button.
• On the next screen that comes up, click 'Play' again.
• Use your mouse to swap 2 neighboring beads to make a line of 3 or more matching beads. This line may be horizontal or vertical.
• If you take too long to make a match, Rainbow Web will show you a move you can make. This move, of course, is merely a suggestion. You can take it, or leave it.
• Some beads have a letter inside of them.
• Collect all letters by placing a bead with a letter in line with 3 or more beads of the same color.
• You begin the game with 3 lives. (Your lives are shown at the right side below the level number).
• The timer is the iguana's tongue located at the lower left corner. Time is up when the iguana's tongue completely recoils and disappears into the iguana's mouth.
• Your goal is to collect all letters to spell the magic word, or phrase, at the upper right corner before time runs out. If you do, you go on to the next web.
• Finish quickly to earn extra bonus points.
• If time runs out before you spell the magic word, or phrase, you lose 1 life.
• After you complete a level you may occasionally see a screen where you are invited to download the game. If you only wish to play for free, simply click the 'Play' button to continue your free game.
• This free demo version of Rainbow Web has 5 levels of play.
• Each time you replay the game, the game will play differently.

Rainbow Web Game Options:

• The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the 'Menu' button located at the lower right corner.

Christmas Sorter

Game Description: Each level begins with some christmas ornaments inside a grid, and other ornaments moving on a conveyer belt from left to right at the top of the screen. Your task is to click on the moving ornaments at the top, and get them to drop into the grid where they can be matched with two or more like-colored oranments forming a set of 3 or more. When you make enough matches, the Christmas tree on the left will begin to fill with ornaments. Once the Christmas tree is filled with ornaments, and gets a star on top, you win the level! How to Play Christmas Sorter:

• Once the game fully loads, either click the 'Start' button, or click the 'Skip Level' button to find the level you would like to start on. (If this is your first time playing Christmas Sorter, I recommend that you begin with Level 1. Then, progress through the levels naturally. Of course if you have played the game before, then you will know which level you will want to begin with).
• Each level begins with some christmas ornaments inside a grid, and other ornaments moving on a conveyer belt from left to right at the top of the screen.
• Your job is to click on the moving ornaments at the top and get them to drop into the grid where they can be matched with two or more like-colored oranments.
• When you make a match of 3 or more like-colored ornaments, those oranments will disappear from the screen and earn you points.
• Any ornaments that get all the way to the right will fall off of the conveyer belt and drop down the right side of the screen and then move to the left and begin forming a line of ornaments below the gird.
• When the line of ornaments below the grid fills up completely, those oranments will move up into the grid itself, forming a new bottom row and pushing the other grid ornaments up higher towards the top.
• Be careful. If any ornament in the grid crosses the line at the top, you lose the level.
• When you make enough matches the Christmas tree on the left will begin to fill with ornaments. Once the Christmas tree is filled with ornaments, and gets a star on top, you win the level!
• Christmas Sorter has 20 levels of play. Each level is faster and harder. Because the game allows you to skip levels anytime you wish, you may play any level you want at any time.

How to Play Magic Puzzle - Harry Potter:

• As the game begins to load, you will see some text that says 'The game is loading now...' Below this text there will be a blue line with the word 'Continue' underneath. Once you see the word 'Continue' below the blue line, this tells you that the game is fully loaded and ready to be played. You must click the word 'Continue'. That will make the game start.
• After you click the word 'Continue', on the next screen, click the 'Play' button.
• You will now see the pictures of nine different jigsaw puzzles. Simply click the puzzle you want to play.
• To begin play, click the 'Start' button near the upper left corner.
• The jigsaw pieces are scattered below the picture near the bottom of the game screen.
• Move each piece by first clicking on it with your mouse, and then drag it. Click it a second time to release it, or to drop it into place.
• Rotate a puzzle piece with your spacebar.
• When you have positioned a piece correctly it will stay in place, and you will hear a sound effect (that is assuming, of course, that you have left the game sounds turned on).

Comments: Although jigsaw puzzles have never been very popular on my site, Magic Puzzle - Harry Potter is far more entertaining than your average jigsaw. With enchanting music, some great pictures of your favorite Harry Potter characters, and a rather nice special effect of having the puzzle pieces 'float' back to the bottom when you make a mistake, hopefully this game will at least get a little action, and a decent amount of pageviews. Also, even though each puzzle has only 30 pieces, for a 30 piece puzzle I think they are quite challenging.

• You have 5 lives. Each life is represented by the 5 yellow blockheads at the upper right corner of the game screen.
• Each time you get splattered, you lose 1 life.
• Each time you collect a jar of yellow paint, you regain 1 life.
• If you get splattered by the Boss, you immediately lose all of your lives and it's ... game over!
• Stay Yellow for as long as you can.
• The game ends when you lose your last life.

Mystery Hunter

Game Description: Search through the rooms of an ancient pyramid to find buried treasures. There are five levels (called rooms). The first room is named the 'Trial Room'. The 'Trial Room' is actually a built-in game tutorial which will show you how to use the four tools you will use to search for hidden items. The remaining rooms are the Hunting Room, the Dormancy Room, the Battle Room, and the Golden Room. Most rooms have more than one chamber through which you will have to search. To advance to the next room you must get all of the shapes into the pages of the 'Book of the Dead', and use the Hand tool to click on the door of the next room before the burning skull gets all the way to the left and you run out of time. Should you fail a level, you may repeat a level as many times as you need until you succeed. Good luck... and happy hunting!

How to Play Mystery Hunter:

• Once the game loads, click the 'Start' button located in the lower right corner.
• Mystery Hunter will first take you through a brief tutorial (named the 'Trial Room'). The tutorial will show you how to use the four tools: the Hand, the Brush, the Knife, and the Hoe (the tool that looks like an axe).
• Your goal is to use these four tools to find all of the shapes that fit into the grooves in the 'Book of the Dead' before time is up.
• The timer is the burning skull at the top of the game. When the skull, which moves from right to left, gets all the way to the left, time is up.
• You must not only find all of the shapes, you must also collect them with the right tool. Each time you use the wrong tool you will be penalized with lost time, and the skull will briefly speed up.
• Most rooms have more than one chamber through which you will have to search. To view all of the chambers, simply move your mouse left to view leftward and right to view rightward.
• To advance to the next level you must get all of the shapes into the pages of the 'Book of the Dead'. (When you do, the shapes in the book will turn a gold color and flash, letting you know that your work is complete). You must also use the Hand tool to click on the door of the next room. If you can do both of these things before time runs out you will advance to the next level.
• Should you fail a level you may repeat a level until you succeed.
• In addition to the tutorial (the 'Trial Room') there are four additional rooms (levels). They are: the Hunting Room, the Dormancy Room, the Battle Room, and the Golden Room.

Game Description: Welcome to Wordstacks! The game where cards meet letters! For each game, 28 cards are dealt to 7 stacks, and 14 cards are dealt to the reserve. Each card has a letter on it, and a point value. The aim of this game is to create words out of the cards you're given by moving your cards between the stacks to get the highest score you possibly can. Longer words, and hard to use letters like F, H, J, K, Q, V, W, X, Y, and Z score more. Each time you play you will always get a new assortment of cards. So each game is different!

How to Play Wordstacks:

• Once the game fully loads, click the 'Start Game' button.
• For each game, there are 42 available cards. (Each game is different. So, you will always get a new assortment of cards).
• 21 cards are dealt face up. (1 card is dealt face up to each of the 7 stacks, and 14 cards are dealt face up along the right side. Those 14 cards are your reserve. More about the reserve in a moment).
• The remaining 21 cards are dealt face down and are hidden beneath the top cards of each stack, expect for the far right stack which has no cards beneath it.
• Each card has a letter on it, and a point value.
• All letters always have the same point value each time you play the game. For instance, each A=1.
• Here are the point values for all 26 letters of the alphabet. A=1, B=3, C=2, D=2, E=1, F=4, G=3, H=4, I=1, J=8, K=5, L=1, M=3, N=1, O=1, P=3, Q=10, R=1, S=1, T=1, U=1, V=4, W=4 , X=8 , Y=4 and Z=10.
• The aim of the game is to rearrange the cards to make words on the seven stacks (columns).
• Cards are moved by dragging and dropping using the mouse.
• A card that is face up can always be moved, but all cards stacked on top of it will be moved with it.
• A card or group of cards can only be placed onto a stack if all the face up cards on the resulting stack make a word, or the start of a word.
• The total score for a word is the card value of the word multiplied by the length of the word. For example, the word TOY has a card value of 1+1+4=6, with a length of 3, so it scores 18 points (6x3). Continuing this example, if we added an S to TOY we would now have the word TOYS. The word TOYS has a card value of 1+1+4+1=7, with a length of 4, so it scores 28 points (7x4).
• The 14 cards in your reserve (at the right side) are available for use at any time. These cards don't have to be used to finish the game, but they can help you get out of a difficult situation, and allow you to make longer words for a higher score.
• To use a reserve card you simply drag and drop it unto a stack. However, once a reserve card is placed unto a stack, it can never be moved back to the reserve.
• If you have a card that you can't use and you want to throw it away, drag the card to the trash bin at the upper right corner.
• You are allowed to dispose of up to five cards without penalty. Throwing away more results in a 10 point loss for each additional card you throw away.
• Once a card has been discarded to the trash bin there is no way to return it to play, so be careful you don't throw away anything too important!
• As you play the game, Wordstacks will keep track of your total score at the upper left corner. However only stacks that contain a complete word with a green background, and the score above the stack has turned white will count towards your final score. (In order for a stack to turn to a green background, not only do you need to have a compete word, but you must also clear away all of the cards that lie beneath the stack).
• When all of the cards are face up and every stack is either empty, or contains a complete word, you will see a 'Well done!' message. If you are satisfied with your score, you can choose to end the game immediately by clicking the 'End Game' button at the bottom right. Your other choice is to keep playing, and try to impove your score by clicking the 'Continue' button at the bottom left. You may then continue to rearrange words in order to improve your score, by using cards from the reserve or combining shorter words into longer ones.

Wordstacks Playing Tips:

• Form long words for big points!
• To score even higher, try to use high scoring letters in your longest words when possible. This will really bump up your score fast!
• Try not to dump too many letters. Remember, if you dump more than 5 letters you will be penalized 10 points for each additional letter you discard. Also, try not to dump high scoring letters. You will want to keep them, and use them in your words.
• Remain flexible, and be open to new possibilities as new letters come into play. In other words don't become too fixated on making one certain word, because you may find something better.
• If you are not sure that you can move a letter, or a group of letters, try moving them anyway. You may be surprised to find that Wordstacks will accept your move even though you may not know what word it is 'thinking' of. It won't do any harm to try, and if your move is accepted it can help you get out of a sticky situation.

Comments: Wordstacks proves something one and for all: You don't need a time limit, and you don't need any sound in order for a game to be great. Wordstacks is simply excellent in every respect. Game Description: The Ace of Spades 3 is another fun version of tripeaks solitaire. The really cool thing about this version is that there are 45 different arrangements of cards, called boards. Some boards are easy and some are hard, so you never know what is coming next. This variety makes things interesting and keeps you on your toes. One other cool feature is the Ace of Spades card itself. You never know if, or when, it is going to show up and help you.

How to Play The Ace of Spades 3:

• Once the game fully loads, click the 'continue' button directly under the game title.
• On the next screen you see, click either 'Play Random Boards' or 'Choose a Starting Board.'
• Choosing a Starting Board allows you to select your favorite board from among 45 different starting boards. (Use the slider button at the right side, to scroll down and see them all). After you play your starting board in round 1, the game will switch to random boards for any succeeding rounds. (The day I tested the Ace of Spades 3, I noticed something peculiar. When I begin the game with 'Choose a Starting Board', each time I got to round 3 the board cards would not display and I had to quit my game. I don't know if this is an actual glitch in the game, or if this was simply an oddity for that particular day. If this should happen to you, try starting a new game with 'Play Random Boards.' Doing that solved the problem for me).
• Each round begins with a deal of 30 cards face down in the pack, 1 card face up immediately to the right of the pack (the discard pile) and various other cards, some face up and some face down, (the board).
• The rank of cards is the usual rank of A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K.
• You may play any face up card from the board, to the discard pile, if it is either one card higher, or one card lower in rank than the top card of the discard pile. For instance, if the discard pile shows a 7, any 6 or 8 may be played.
• To play a card, you simply click on it.
• Suits do not matter in tripeaks solitaire.
• In tripeaks solitaire, Kings may be played on Aces, and Aces may be played on Kings. (This means that if the discard pile shows an Ace, any king or any two may be played. Similarly, if the discard pile shows a king, any ace or any queen may be played).
• Try to build big sequences both up and down such as: 3, 2, A, K, Q, J, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3 and so on. The order can be ascending, descending or both.
• When you run out of moves from the board, click the pack. This will automatically overturn the top card from the pack and place that card face up on the discard pile and play begins again.
• The bigger the sequence, the higher you’ll score. Example: 100, 200, 300, 400...
• Score extra points, or earn extra cards for the pack, by playing the Ace of Spades card.
• Receive 1000 bonus points for each card that remains in the pack when you successfully complete a round.
• Your goal is to move all cards from the board to the discard pile before the pack runs out of cards. (Hint: You can always tell how many cards remain in the pack, because The Ace of Spades 3 will show you by displaying that number on the pack itself).
• If you are able to move all of the cards from the board, to the discard pile, you win the round and the game continues.
• The game ends whenever you fail to move all of the board cards to the discard pile.

The Ace of Spades 3 Playing Tips:

• Face down cards on the board will be revealed when all cards on top of them are played. If you have a choice of cards to play, always play the card that will result in other face down cards being revealed. For instance, if you have two threes available to play and one of the threes has a hidden face down card underneath it and the other three has no card underneath it, select the one that has the card underneath it. The more cards you can get turned over the better.
• Play the Ace of Spades when you have the chance to do so. Not only will this give you lots of extra points, sometimes you may receive bonus cards that go to the pack... giving you more chances to make moves and win the round.
• As with all tripeaks solitarie games, it is the order in which you play your cards that will determine your success. As you gain experience, this will become more apparent.
• The Ace of Spades 3 has no time limits. So take your time, and be thorough. Make as many good moves as you possibly can, and try not to miss any obvious ones.

Comments: There are a couple of things that I really like about the Ace of Spades 3. The cards are nice and big, and easy to read. That is something I always look for in a card game. And with 45 different boards, with some easy and some hard, you never know what you are going to get. This variety makes things interesting and keeps you on your toes. One other cool feature is the Ace of Spades card itself. You never know if, or when, it is going to show up and help you.

Game Description: Family Feud is based on the popular TV show of the same name. Try to guess the most popular answers to the survey questions. There are four rounds of play in which you will be asked a survey question. You have 20 seconds to give an answer. After the four rounds are complete, if you are ahead of the average score, you will go on to play the Fast Money round where you have the opportunity to earn bonus money. Good luck, and have fun!

How to Play Family Feud:

• Click the 'Play' button.
• There are four rounds of play in which you will be asked a survey question.
• Your goal is to try to come up with the most popular answers.
• You have 20 seconds to give an answer.
• Use your keyboard to type in your answer in the available space near the bottom. Then, either use your mouse to click the 'Submit' button, or use your keyboard to press 'Enter'.
• Each correct answer will earn you points.
• If you give an incorrect answer, or run out of time, you will get a strike.
• If you cannot think of any answer, and do not want to wait for the 20 seconds to count down, you may click the 'No Answer' button located at the lower right corner. This will also earn you a strike.
• The round ends when either you come up with all of the correct answers, or when you get three strikes.
• After each round, the announcer will let you know if you are ahead of the average score by saying: "Good work. You're ahead." If you are behind the average score he will say: "That's okay.You can still catch up!"
• After the four rounds are complete, if you are ahead of the average score, you will go on to play Fast Money.
• If after the four rounds are complete, and you have less points than the average score, the game is over. (Click the 'Play Again' button to begin a new game).

How to Play the Family Feud Fast Money Rounds:

• If, after the four rounds are played, and you have earned more points than the average score, you will play the Fast Money part of the game.
• There are two rounds in Fast Money.
• The Fast Money rounds consist of five survey questions.
• For Round 1 of Fast Money, you have 50 seconds to answer as many of the five questions as you can.
• If you cannot think of an answer, you may click the 'Pass' button located at the lower right corner. Clicking 'Pass' allows you to immediately go to the next question. If there is still time on the clock, you may come back to any questions that you passed and still give an answer.
• For Round 2 of Fast Money, you will be given the same five survey questions from Round 1. This time you will be given 55 seconds on the clock. But now, you must come up with a different answer than you gave in Round 1.
• Just like in Round 1 you may click the 'Pass' button to skip a question and come back to it later, if there is still time on the clock.
• You win the Fast Money if you can earn a combined minimum of at least 200 points during the two Fast Money Rounds.

Family Feud Game Options: The game options may be accessed by clicking the 'Menu' button located at the lower right corner. The game options are:

• The music may be turned on or off.

Family Feud Playing Tips:

• Because this is the free demo version of Family Feud, there are a limited number of questions available. To keep things interesting, at least for a while, you may want to challenge yourself when you start getting repeat questions and see how many of the answers you can remember. Doing this can still keep the game fun, at least for a short while.

Pro: Family Feud has captivating music, great sound effects, and a fabulous announcer. I mean really, how great is that announcer? But the best part of all, is how truly interactive the announcer is according to the game situation. For instance, if you missed the fourth answer, he will say "Let's see number four". How cool is that? Overall, Family Feud is great entertainment.

Con:

• The big drawback, and it is a significant drawback indeed, is the limited number of questions available in this free demo version of Family Feud. After playing for a relatively short time, you will begin to get repeat questions which certainly takes the fun out of playing.
• I don't know how old this game is, but judging by some of the answers it seems somewhat out-dated. Especially when you see the answers to some of the questions about electronic gadgets. Those should give you a chuckle.

Game Description: Help Isis reunite with her dead lover in this spooky spot the difference game.

How to Play Isis:

• After the game fully loads, (and it may be a little slow to load), click the 'Play' button.
• There are two pictures side-by-side.
• Your goal is to find, and click on, the 5 differences in each picture as quickly as you can.
• When you click on a difference, the difference will disappear from one of the pictures. (Either something will be added, or something taken away, from one of the pictures to make them the same in that particular spot).
• Score 5 points for each difference you click on.
• Lose 5 points for clicking anywhere other than on a difference.
• Score time bonus points for finishing a round early. (There is no time limit in Isis. Meaning that you will be able to finish your game no matter how long it may take you).
• If you should get stuck, use the hint bar located at the lower right corner. (Points will not be deducted for using the hints.)
• There are three buttons on the hint bar: Small, Medium, and Big.
• Click each individual button on the hint bar to get a hint.
• The hint bar fills from left to right. (The Big hint button is farthest to the right, so it takes the longest to get filled).
• Each time you click a button on the hint bar, the hint bar will either be partially or fully depleted, depending on which button you use. (Using the Big hint button causes the hint bar to completely deplete. The Medium button causes it to partially deplete. While the Small button causes the hint bar to only deplete a little).
• The Small hint button will cause a slight flicker on one of the differences. (You will have to be alert and look quickly, or you may miss it).
• The Medium hint button will cause a slight wiggle on one of the differences. (Just like the Small hint, you will have to be alert and look quickly, or you could miss it).
• The Big hint button will place a green box around one of the differences.
• There are twelve picture sets for each game with a total of 60 differences to be found.
• You final score is determined by your accuracy, and your quickness.
• To replay Isis click the 'Play Again (New Differences)' button, and Isis will reset the game with new random differences for you to find!

Isis Game Options: The game options may be accessed either before you begin the game (from the initial game screen), or during the game by clicking the Pause - Options button located at the bottom of the game. The options are:

• The music may be turned on or off.
• The sounds may be turned on or off.

Isis Playing Tips:

• When you use either the Small or Medium hint buttons you need to be alert. The Small hint will only produce a quick flicker on one of the differences. The Medium hint will only show a quick wiggle on one of the differences. Again, be alert. Because it is easy to miss both the Small and Medium hints.

Comments: There are several things I like about Isis. First, and foremost, are the outstanding graphics, sounds and music. (I really enjoy the special effect when you find all 5 differences, and the page in the book is turned). Also outstanding is that each time you replay Isis the game sets up new random differences. This, of course, makes the game much more fun to play.

Game Description: Ether of Magic Cards is a turn based strategy game. You, a skillful wizard, will battle against numerous magical enemies. Each battle begins with 5 cards dealt to you, and 5 cards dealt to your opponent. You always get to play the first card in each battle. After that, play alternates between you and your opponent until someone wins the battle. Good luck!

How to Play Ether of Magic Cards: I am not going to pretend that I have learned everything that there is to learn about this game, or that I know how all of the cards are even used. But, I can share what I have learned so far. Don't be concerned if you do not understand everything. This is a game you will pick up intuitively as you go along. Read my review to hopefully pick up a few pointers. Then, just start playing!

• After the game fully loads, click the 'Play' button.
• Click the 'New Game' button to begin a new game. Or, click the 'Continue' button to continue a saved game.
• If this is a new game, select your difficulity level from: Easy, Normal, or Hard.
• The goal of each battle is to get the opponent's health score down to zero before your own score gets down to zero.
• If your opponent's score gets down to zero, you win, and you go on to the next level.
• If your score gets down to zero, you lose, and you must repeat the level.
• Each time you win, you will get a bonus. This can be either a new card with special powers that you can use in your next battle, or it can be extra health points that can help you win your next battle.
• Before you begin each battle you can click the 'Deck of cards' button at the bottom of the game. This will open a new screen. On the right is Your Deck as it is currently configured. (There will always be 21 cards in your deck). On the left are the Available cards that you can add to your deck. Simply drag an available card on top of one of the cards already in your deck and release your mouse. The card you dragged is now part of your deck, and the card underneath will leave your deck and go to the left in the Available card section. When you are done selecting the cards you want, click the 'Close Deck' button.
• Hint: Each time you win a new card in a battle, the new card will always go to the Available cards side. So, if you want to use the new card you just won, don't forget to click the 'Deck of cards' button and put the new card in Your Deck.
• Click the 'Battle' button located at the lower right corner to begin each battle.
• You, and your statistics, are on the left. The opponent, and his statistics, are on the right.
• Each battle begins with 5 cards dealt to you and 5 cards dealt to your opponent.
• You will see your 5 cards face up at the bottom left. Your opponent's 5 cards are face down at the bottom right.
• You always get to play the first card in each battle. After that, play alternates between you and your opponent until someone wins the battle.
• Click on the card you want to play and the card will move to the middle. Should you change your mind and wish to play a different card from your hand, click on the card again and it will go back into your hand.
• Once the card is in the middle you have two choices. You can either cast a 'Spell' with the card (which is almost always the choice), or you can 'Burn the Card' which means the card is not used in a spell but you add 5 points to your energy (ether).
• After you use a card, a new card will be dealt to your hand, to replace the card that was previously played.
• Some cards will help you with offense. That is, they will weaken your opponent. Other cards will help you with defense. That is, they will help strengthen yourself. Some cards, such as the 'Vampire' card will help you to do both.
• The 'Dmg' (damage cards) come in several formats: Ice, Fire, and Lightning, for example. They will attack the opponent and will usually lessen the opponent's score especially if the opponent has little or no ether (energy). Like all cards they come in various denominations. Of course, the higher their number, the more powerful they are.
• Dmg. plus Poison will possibly takes points from an opponent (the damage part) and weaken the opponent (the poison part). Note: Poison will only weaken an opponent. It cannot kill him.
• The 'Cure Poison' card will remove at least some, if not all, of the poison that has been inflicted by an opponent.
• The 'Vampire' card is another powerful card. It will steal lives (score) from your opponent and add lives (score) to yourself. 'Vampire' cards come in several denominations: 5, 7, and 9, for example. If you cast a Spell with a 'Vampire' card of 7, this means your score will go up by 7 and your opponent's score will go down by 7!
• 'Heal' cards are yet another powerful card. They do exactly what their name implies. They heal the player that uses it. For instance, if a player casts a Spell with a Heal of 10, this means 10 points will be added to the player's point total.
• 'Ether' cards are very important. They give you energy and can help ward off attacks from an opponent. When you have high energy (ether) as indicated by the blue bar at the top, this protects you from some of the attack of your opponent. Think of the energy as a shield. For instance, if your opponent attacks you with a card that has 13 damage points while your energy is high, your score may only go down, say 8, instead of 13.
• The 'Paralyze opponent' card means that the opponent's next Spell will have no affect. In essence, this forces the opponent to waste a card and a turn.
• Should you fail a level you can simply replay a level as many times as you need until you succeed.
• There are 20 levels of play.
• If you are unable to finish your game, Ether of Magic Cards should automatically save your game progress. As long as you use the same computer, and come back here to Richard's Game Reviews, you should be able to pick up right where you left off by clicking the 'Continue' button.

Ether of Magic Cards Game Options:

• There is a music on/off button at the upper right corner. It seems to be a bit erratic to use. Sometimes I can get the music to turn off, and sometimes I cannot. If this control doesn't work for you simply turn your speakers down until you find a comfortable level.

Ether of Magic Cards Playing Tips:

• This is a game of judgement and strategy. You have to know when to attack and when to defend.
• Before you begin a new battle it can be a good idea to review the cards in Your Deck and make sure you have the best cards available.
• Some cards are duplicates. If a card is powerful, you will likely want duplicate cards in Your Deck.
• Remember what your maximum health is for each round. It varies from round to round. This information can be seen before the battle begins. Here's why it is beneficial to remember this number. Let's say, for example, that your maximum health is 23. This means your score can never exceed 23. Now, let's say that your current score is 18. You would not want to use a Heal card of 10 because you would waste half of the card. (18 + 10 = 28, and 28 would be 5 over your allowed health limit). It would be better to save this card until your score got down to about 13. This way you could get the full benefit of the card.
• Although you will typically use a card to cast a spell on your opponent, burning a card can be a good way of getting rid of an ineffective card, or a card that you don't currently need as much as the other cards in your hand, and it adds 5 points to your energy which is important.
• Should you find that the Easy difficulity level is too easy, and does not give you enough of a challenge, start a new game and try either the Normal or Hard difficulity level.
