Game Description: In Beleaguered Castle Solitaire all 52 cards are dealt face up. The 4 aces are dealt to the middle column, and are the foundations. The remaining 48 cards form the tableau, and are dealt in overlapping style in eight rows of six cards each. The object is to move all of the cards from the tableau, to the 4 foundation piles, building each foundation by suit and in sequence from Ace to king.

How to Play Beleaguered Castle Solitaire:
- Once the game fully loads, click the 'Start' button.
- On the next screen you see, click 'Start' once again.
- Beleaguered Castle Solitaire is a card game played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
- Each game begins with all 52 cards dealt face up. The four aces are dealt to the middle column, and are the foundation piles. The remaining 48 cards are dealt in overlapping style in eight rows of six cards each, with four rows to the right, and four rows to the left, of the foundation piles. Those 48 cards are the tableau piles.
- The rank of cards is the usual rank of A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K.
- The foundation piles must be built up in suit and by sequence. Example: Ace of Spades, 2 of Spades, 3 of Spades, and so forth.
- The only moveable cards are the outermost card on each tableau row. (To move a card, simply drag it with your mouse, and release).
- A card may be moved onto the outer end of a different row, provided that it is one rank lower than the card already there regardless of suit. For example: Any 6 may be placed on any 7.
- Any moveable card may be placed in an empty space (that is, in any row with no cards).
- Your goal is to move all 48 tableau cards onto the foundation piles.
- Score 500 points for each card that you place on a foundation.
- A winning score is 24000 points (48 x 500).

- The best strategy, it seems to me, is to first remove all cards from one row if you can. This creates an empty space, and will give you some flexibility. Once you accomplish that, you should try to create a second empty space. Now, you have even greater flexibility. Things may still be difficult, but you now have a good chance at winning!
