Bubble Shooter

Game Description: Shoot and destroy bubbles by making groups of three or more like-colored bubbles. Don't let any bubbles reach the bottom!

How to Play Bubble Shooter:

• Point your mouse where you want the next bubble to go (the arrow at the bottom will indicate the direction).
• Left click to shoot the bubble.
• When three or more like-colored bubbles come together, they will explode. Also, all other bubbles that are attached to the exploding bubbles will also explode if they are only connected to the rest of the bubbles at the point of the explosion and not connected at any other point. Bubble Shooter calls this an 'avalanche.'
• The more bubbles you blow up with each shot, the more points you score.
• Avalanches give you ten times more points than ordinary bursts.
• There are silver balls in the bottom left corner. These silver balls show how many misses you can have (where you fail to detonate any bubbles) before a new line of bubbles appears at the top and the remaining bubbles advance toward the bottom.
• Your goal is to clear all the bubbles from the board, scoring as many points as possible.
• If you are able to clear every bubble from the board, your score doubles!
• If any bubble reaches the bottom, it's game over!

Bubble Shooter Game Options: The game options are accessed by clicking the 'Setup' button.

• The color of the board may be changed by sliding the red, green, and blue buttons.
• The game level is 'Novice'. (The 'Expert' and 'Master' levels cannot be played here on Richard's Game Reviews. Those levels would require the Deluxe version).
• The sound volume may be adjusted, or turned on or off.
• The 'Auto Save' and 'Graphics Acceleration' features also would require the Deluxe version.

Bubble Shooter Playing Tips:

• Try to create an avalanche whenever you can. Not only does an avalance give you a lot more points, but it also clears away a lot of bubbles. Clearing away bubbles is important because this allows you to get a clearer shot at the bubbles above, and will help in your ultimate goal of clearing away the entire board.
• Learn the bank shot, where you bounce the bubble off the left or right wall. Many times, the only way to get a bubble to its intended target is to use the bank shot. This takes just a little practice. Of course, the more you practice the better you will get.
• You don't need to necessarily make a perfect shot. A glancing shot will usually be enough. Just as long as you make contact with the intended bubble.
• When there are two bubbles of the same color, that are separated by one space, you can usually hit both bubbles by shooting your bubble between them. In other words, the left side of your bubble will hit one bubble, and the right side of your bubble will hit the other one. This is very easy to do as long as you have a clear shot.
• Watch the color of the next bubble that is coming up. (You can see the next bubble in the left corner). Knowing the color of the next available bubble can help you plan your current shot.
• Before making a shot, place your mouse pointer directly on the intended target. Then click. Although it probably depends on how your mouse properties are set, this can really help with the accuracy of your shots. For instance, my mouse pointer shows an arrow. So, I simply positon the arrow where I want my shot to go.
