6 Peaks Solitaire

Game Description: 6 Peaks Solitaire is a fun version of the popular game of Tripeaks Solitaire. Try to make it through a 6 level game, or play any of the 15 custom boards.

How to Play 6 Peaks Solitaire:

  • Click the 'Play' button.
  • You can select to either 'Play levels' or play a 'Custom game.' Click on your choice.
  • With 'Play levels' you will try to make it through a challenging 6 level game. Each level features a different board. (The last level, level 6, is the most challenging one).
  • With 'Custom game' first you select a theme, which is just a background picture. The three themes are: North America, South America, and Japan. After you select your theme, you will get to select any of the 15 custom boards to play. With 'Custom game' there are an unlimited number of levels. You play the same board over and over until you lose.
  • Each level of 6 Peaks Solitaire begins with cards dealt to the board, some face up and others face down. The board is at the top of the screen. Below the board you will see one card face up at the right bottom. That card is called the 'Base card.' You will also see, to the left of the Base card, a row of face down cards. These cards are called the 'stock'.
  • In Tripeaks Solitaire, cards have the usual rank of: A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and K.
  • Use your mouse to click any card on the board that is either one higher, or one lower, in rank than the Base card. Suits don't matter.
  • When you click a movable card from the board, that card now becomes the new Base card. (If you should click on a card that cannot be moved, nothing will happen. You will simply need to try a different card). You can now build on the new Base card by clicking on any card from the board that is either one higher, or lower, in rank than the new Base card.
  • Kings can be built on Aces, and Aces can be built on Kings.
  • If there are no more moves, click the top card from the stock. That card now becomes the new Base card.
  • Your goal is to move all of the cards from the board to the Base card. If you do, you go on to the next level. If you fail, it's game over!

6 Peaks Solitaire Game Options:
  • The game sounds and music may be turned on or off by clicking the musical note icon located at the lower left corner of the game screen.

6 Peaks Solitaire Playing Tips:
  • As with all Tripeaks Solitaire games, the order that you play your cards determines your success. As you gain experience, you will come to understand which cards to play first in order to make the longest runs.
  • When you have a choice, play cards that will reveal other cards. For example, let's say that the Base card is a 9 and there are two different 10's you can play. One of the 10's stands alone and has no other cards beneath it. The other 10 does have one or more cards beneath it. In this instance, you would play the 10 that has cards beneath it. The reason is quite simple. You want to overturn, and reveal, as many face down cards as quick as you possibly can. This puts more cards in play and opens up more playing possibilities.
  • If you play 'Custom games' it certainly does matter which board you choose. Some, are much harder than others.

Comments: What I particularly like about this version of Tripeaks Solitaire is the variety it offers. With 'Play levels' you get 6 challenging boards. And with 'Custom games' you can select from any of 15 challenging boards, none of them a pushover. If you enjoy playing Tripeaks Solitaire, 6 Peaks Solitaire should quickly become one of your all-time favorite games.
