Big Fish Eat Little Fish Games Page 1

In all of the Big Fish Eat Little Fish Games, you will begin the game as a little fish. The idea of these games is to eat fish smaller than your fish in order to grow bigger and stronger while avoiding the larger fish. I think the thing that makes each of these games fun, and so appealing, is their utter unpredictability. Sometimes you will see large schools of fish, and at other times you will see only a few fish which will allow you to take a breather, at least for a moment! Some fish swim fast, while other swim slow. One thing is for certain. Big Fish Eat Little Fish Games will provide a lot of excitement and keep you on your toes!

Tiny Fish Factory

Tiny Fish Factory
Game Description: Tiny Fish Factory is a Match 3 game with 12 levels of play. You are given five minutes to turn all squares to blue by making at least one match over every square on the entire game board. If you are able to accomplish this before time runs out, you will advance to the next level of play. If time runs out before you can turn the entire board blue, it is instant game over! How far can you go? Find out now as you play Tiny Fish Factory!

How to Play Tiny Fish Factory:
  • Once the game fully loads, click the 'Play' button.
  • On the 'Select Level' screen, green fish icons represent unlocked levels, and orange fish icons represent locked levels.
  • Click on one of the green fish icons to select your level of play. (If this is your first time playing Tiny Fish Factory only Level 1 will be unlocked. If you have previously played the game, then more than one level may be unlocked, depending on how far you have progressed in the game on previous occasions).
  • You are given 5 minutes to complete each level.
  • The clock is located at the upper left corner of the game screen. It tells you how much time you have remaining to complete a level.
  • Click on two adajcent game pieces (that is, the colored fish pieces) to attempt to swap their positons.
  • The two pieces you attempt to swap must be right next to each other either horizontally or vertically, but not diagonally.
  • The two pieces will only swap positions if the resulting move makes a match of at least 3 or more like-colored fish in a row, either horizontally or vertically. (Diagonal matches do not count in Match 3 play).
  • If the two pieces you are attempting to swap do not result in a match of at least 3 or more in a row, no harm is done. You will simply have to try again.
  • If you have not made a match in a while, Tiny Fish Factory will suggest a move for you by using a sparkling effect on two pieces that may be swapped. Remember, this is merely a suggestion. You may use it, or not. You may also find a better move all on your own.
  • When absolutely no more matches are available on the entire game board, click the 'Shuffle' button and Tiny Fish Factory will shuffle the game pieces and reset the board for you. Then, just keep playing as usual. (Please Note: The 'Shuffle' button will only appear on the game screen when there are no more matches available on the entire game board. It will pop up just above the 'Exit' button at the lower left corner. Watch for this!)
  • As you make matches, watch the background of the game board. Notice that each time you make a match of any previously unmatched game square that its background will turn to blue.
  • The idea is to turn the entire board blue before time runs out. If you do, you go on to the next level of play.
  • You will earn bonus points for finishing a level quickly.
  • Should you run out of time before you are able to turn the entire game board blue... it is game over!
  • The game will allow you to submit your game score only, I believe, after you complete Level 12.

Play Tiny Fish Factory on Full Screen

Please Note: Before playing Tiny Fish Factory in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page.

Tiny Fish Factory Game Options:
  • The game music may be turned soft or loud by clicking the musical note icon located at the left, just below the Level indicator button. (It has been my personal experience that this control will not turn off the music completely. It will only adjust the music volume. If you wish to get rid of the music entirely, you will probably need to turn the volume to zero on your computer).
  • The game sounds, which are minimal, may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the left, also just below the Level indicator button.

Tiny Fish Factory Playing Tips:
  • Tiny Fish Factory does not have a Pause button. So, if you should get distracted and have to leave your computer, there is no way to stop the clock. So just be reasonably certain when you begin a level, that you will have the 5 minutes that you will need to complete it.
  • If you are an experienced Match 3 player you already know how to manipulate a Match 3 game board. The idea is to make matches that force specific game pieces to fall exactly where you need them to be for your next match. You do this by making smart matches below the pieces you are trying to move. This simply takes experience, and is not hard to do once you gain the required gaming experience.
  • Remember, the idea is to turn all game squares to blue before time runs out. Tiny Fish Factory will help you track your results. Notice on the left side of the game screen that there is the word 'OPENED'. Immediately below that word you will see two numbers with a forward slash between them. For instance, on Level 1 as you begin play you would see 0/56. This means that there are 56 squares to turn blue in Level 1. And since you are just starting Level 1, the other number of zero indicates that you have not yet turned any game squares blue. Besides watching the game board itself, also pay attention to the two numbers below 'OPENED'. Getting back to our example of Level 1, if you see, for instance, the numbers 55/56, you know that you still have one square to go before you can complete the level. So, just look around the board until you spot the remaining square that still needs to be turned blue.
  • Beginning on Level 4, you will see some game squares with a candy cane like background. They look sort of orange with white stripes. These squares behave a little bit differently than regular squares. They can be turned blue if you are able to bring at least two other like-colored fish to them, but they cannot be moved until you do.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: Tiny Fish Factory is challenging enough to give even an experienced Match 3 player quite a bit of fun. If you are brand new to Match 3 play, you may have trouble making it even through the first level. However, as you gain experience, the game will start to become easier and easier.

Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey

Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey
Game Description: Help Jennifer, a young marine biologist, win the Best Aquarium Award. Dive to the bottom of the sea and find various hidden items in numerous eye-teasing locations. Get cash for them to buy cute sea creatures and beautiful ornaments to create unique aquariums. Choose from tons of accessories and supplies to make the life of your exotic swimming pets fun and comfortable. Become a genuine aquarist, polish your design skills and win trophies in this dazzling hidden object game!

How to Play Fishdom H20 Hidden Odyssey:
  • Choose your game mode: 'Relaxed Mode' has no timer. 'Timed Mode' does have a timer. (I recommend that you choose 'Timed Mode'. Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey gives you plenty of time to find all of the hidden objects. And even if you are not able to do so before time runs out, that's okay. You will not incur any type of penalty. You will simply earn less money to buy things for your aquarium. Besides that, 'Timed Mode' is just more fun than 'Relaxed Mode').
  • Next, you will be asked if you want to go through a quick tutorial. Click 'Yes'. The tutorial is very short, probably about 5 minutes or so, and it is the best way to quickly learn how to play the game.
  • Now that you have presumably gone through the tutorial, you know how to play. After each level you can buy more fish, beauty, and comfort for your aquarium. Then, click the 'Dive' button to play the next level. Good luck!
  • Please note: After some levels you will see a screen asking you to download the full version, or to continue. If you wish to only play the free demo version here on Richard's Game Reviews, simply click the 'Continue' button.

Fishdom H20 Hidden Odyssey Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the 'Sound On/Off' button. (To access this button, click the 'Menu' button in the upper left corner).

Fishdom H20 Hidden Odyssey Playing Tips:
  • If you do not find a hidden object in a while, Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey will highlight one of the hidden objects for you with a sparkling effect. Watch for this!
  • When you get stuck use your hints, and one of the sea horses will swim around and show you one of the hidden objects you are searching for. You can always earn more hints.
  • Look for hidden sea horses in each scene. Each sea horse you click on earns you an extra hint. (You can have a maximum of 5 hints at a time).

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: This is not one of those hidden object games where it is almost impossible to find what you are looking for. Yes, some of the objects are well hidden but at least they are big enough to see. While most levels in the 'Timed Mode' give you a full three minutes, some give you considerably less time which keeps things interesting and adds a nice variety. With spectacular graphics and sounds, Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey provides a top-notch gaming experience. It is outstanding!

Con: I am not sure if it is possible to save your Fishdom H20: Hidden Odyssey game. If there is a way to save your game, I have not yet discovered how to do this. If it is possible to save your game, and if you can figure out how, please post a comment below and explain how this can be done so others will know.

Freecell Solitaire

Freecell Solitaire
Game Description: Play the classic game of Freecell Solitaire. Your objective is to move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles and build each suit in ascending order, beginning from Ace up to King. Score 500 points for each card that you successfully move to a foundation pile. Earn extra bonus points for finishing the game fast. The faster you can complete the game, the more bonus points you will score!

How to Play Freecell Solitaire:
  • Freecell Solitaire is a card game played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
  • At the beginning of each game all 52 cards are dealt face up in overlapping style to the tableau in 8 stacks. There are also 8 empty spaces at the top, 4 on the left and 4 more at the right. Notice that the 4 spaces on the right have the letter 'A' on them. In this case, the 'A' stands for Ace. These are the foundation piles, one for each suit. It is here that you will attempt to build the four suits in ascending order, beginning from Ace up to King. The other 4 spaces on the top left are called 'freecells', hence the name Freecell Solitaire.
  • In order to move the cards in this particular version of Freecell Solitaire you will simply drag each card with your mouse.
  • Only one card may be moved at a time.
  • The only cards that are eligible to be moved are any card in one of the 4 freecell spaces, or the top card of any stack.
  • Each freecell can only hold one card at a time.
  • You may move the top card of any stack to an unoccupied freecell.
  • You may also move the top card of one stack to another stack if the card you are moving is one rank lower and has an alternate color. Examples: You may move a black 3 on top of a red 4, or you may move a red 9 on top of a black 10, and so forth.
  • Also any top card of a stack, or any card in a freecell space, may be moved to an empty stack.
  • Your goal is to build the four foundation piles from Ace to King for each suit as fast as you can.
  • You will score 500 points for each card you can move to a foundation pile. You may think that the highest score you could achieve would be 26,000 points (52 x 500). However, there is one last surprise. You can score additional bonus points for completing the game fast. (For instance, I just finished scoring 32,030 points). So remember, the faster you can complete the game, the more bonus points you will score!

Freecell Solitaire Game Options: All game options are accessed by clicking the Options button located in the lower right corner of the game screen. It kind of looks like a gear shaft. The game options are:
  • The game sounds may be adjusted.
  • The game music may be adjusted.
  • Full Screen mode may be turned on or off.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments:
  • I have been searching, for quite some time, for a nice Freecell Solitaire game that has all of the features I wanted. This version of Freecell Solitaire has about 99% of what I wanted. I found a few others that also did, but this was the only one that played trouble free. The other Freecell Solitaire games I was considering either worked glitchy, or completely froze up. I don't think there will be any such problems with this one.
  • Freecell Solitaire is a game that can usually be won, especially after you learn the game and practice a little. (Of course, some hands will be very challenging, while other hands will be much easier depending on the particular deal). Even so, the game offers a nice mental challenge.
  • The only feature this version of Freecell Solitaire doesn't have, which a few others do, is the ability to double click a card to place it in one of the foundation piles. With the version I have here, you must drag each card up to each foundation pile which can get a little tedious. Well, as they say, I guess you can't have everything. lol.
