Intergalactic Battleships

Game Description: Intergalactic Battleships is the classic battleships board game, but all of the action takes place in space. This game features some nice special effects. Watch as your enemy shoots a death ray from a giant spaceship! You will definitely want to play this game in Full Screen mode to get the ultimate playing experience! And don't forget to turn your speakers up nice and loud too!

How to Play Intergalactic Battleships:

  • Click the 'Play' button, located at the lower left corner.
  • Drag your ships onto the grid. Click the space bar to choose between horizontal or vertical positioning for each ship.
  • Once your ships are positioned, click the 'Play' button again.
  • There are two grids: an upper grid and a lower grid. Your ships are visible in the upper grid. The enemy's ships are hidden somewhere on the lower grid.
  • You get the first turn. Search for the enemy ships by clicking on a square in the lower grid.
  • You and the enemy take alternate turns; except when you get a hit you get another turn, as does the enemy.
  • Whoever sinks their opponent's entire fleet first wins!

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Highly entertaining graphics and sound effects makes Intergalactic Battleships a hit. You'll want to turn your speakers up nice and loud for this one!

Con: Intergalactic Battleships definitely could have used some real pizzazz to acknowledge a win or loss. Why not some fireworks, an explosion, or even a little music? Just something. Instead, what you get is a boring text screen that simply states if you won or lost giving a very unsatisfying and somewhat anticlimactic finish. It is sort of like eating a great meal with no dessert.

  1. Hi Richard,

Thanks for reviewing my game Intergalactic Battleships back in 2010. After a 2 year hiatus I've just uploaded version 2 of the game. I've added some music, back story and more entertaining visuals at the end of the game. Hopefully this addresses some of the 'cons' you mentioned in your review.

Wow, a 2 year hiatus. That is quite a layoff. Welcome back. Hopefully you will have some new games coming out in the future.
