Game Description: This game is played on a 4 x 4 puzzle grid using a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Your goal is to play your cards in rows or columns that add up to 21. You have three minutes to complete each round. To advance to the next level of play you must make the required number of 21's before time runs out. Also, you must not run out of cards. Each level is more challenging than the previous level because each time you go up a level the required number of 21's increases as well. Good luck!
How to Play 21 Blitz:
- After the game fully loads, click the 'Play' button.
- This game uses a standard deck of 52 playing cards.
- There is a 4 x 4 puzzle grid with four rows and four columns.
- Each new card that you will insert into the grid will appear face-up near the upper left corner.
- To place a new card into the grid, simply click on a red square.
- Your goal is to make combinations in any row or column that adds up to 21. (Combinations adding up to 21 may consist of 2, 3, or 4 card combinations).
- Tens and facecards count as 10.
- Aces count as 1 or 11.
- All other cards count as their regular number.
- For each level you are required to make a certain number of 21's before time runs out. (You will see how many combinations are needed near the lower left corner just below the word 'Goal'. Then, each time you make a combination of 21, this number will decrease until you meet the required goal).
- For level 1, you must make 5 combinations of 21. For level 2, you must make 6 combinations of 21, and so forth.
- Your have 3 minutes to complete each level. (The clock is at the top).
- If you successfully make the required number of 21's before time runs out you will advance to the next level of play.
- The quicker you complete a level, the more bonus points you will earn!
- Also, anytime a row or column exceeds 21 those cards will automatically be removed from the grid and are no longer available.
- The game ends when you fail to make the required number of 21's.

21 Blitz Playing Tips:
- Try to make rows or columns that add up to 11 (such as 5 + 6, 7 + 4, 3 + 8, or even three card combinations adding up to 11 such as 2 + 3 + 6). The reason for this should be obvious. Once you have a combination of 11, you can simply add any ten or facecard to make 21!
- It can be helpful if you write these numbers on a piece of paper for quick reference: 10-11, 11-10, 12-9, 13-8, 14-7, 15-6, 16-5, 17-4, 18-3, 19-2, 20-1. It would be best if you write these numbers on a piece of paper in one or two columns, rather than in a row like I typed them here. The number before the dash represents your total for each row or column that you have already placed in the grid. (You will see these totals to the right of any row, and at the bottom of any column). The number after the dash represents the card number you need to make a 21. 21 Blitz is a very fast-paced game. The 3 minutes will go by very quickly. Having this list handy will save you valuable seconds. Instead of needing to do a mental subtraction of numbers each time, which could take perhaps up to a few seconds, you will have this information immediately at your fingertips. As you progress through the levels even being 5 or 10 seconds faster could mean the difference between winning or losing.
- Look for situations where you can insert a card to make two combinations of 21 at the same time (both in a row, and in a column).
- Try to avoid situations if possible where you exceed 21 in any row or column, because if you do these cards will be taken off the board automatically and are lost for the entire round. Remember you only get 52 cards to use per level, so you really don't want to lose any cards that you may need later in the round.
- Besides watching the clock, you should also pay some attention to how many cards remain in the deck which is shown on the left side. Although the clock is going to be your primary concern, running out of cards before you make the necessary 21's can also pose a danger and cause you to lose the game.
