Game Description: Click the cards that are one above or below the Home card and try to clear the entire Field before the deck runs out!
How to Play Crystal Golf Solitaire:
- Click the 'Play' button.
- Select from 3 difficulity levels: Casual (Aces can be High or Low), Regular (Aces are Low), Expert (Aces are Low. Cards are hidden).
- Crystal Golf Solitaire is played with a standard 52 card deck, plus 4 jokers.
- Each round begins with 35 cards dealt to the Field (at the top), 20 cards dealt face down to form the deck, and 1 card is dealt face up immediately to the right of the deck (the Home card).
- The 35 Field cards are dealt to 7 columns. Each column has 5 cards that overlap each other. (For both the Casual and Regular levels all Field cards are dealt face up. For the Expert Level only the top card in each column may be seen. The remaining cards underneath are dealt face down).
- The goal of Crystal Golf Solitaire is to move all 35 Field cards unto the Home pile before the deck runs out.
- Only the bottom card of each Field column (that is, the card that is not overlapped by another card) may be moved.
- A card may be moved from the Field unto the Home pile when it is one card higher or lower. For example if the Home card pile shows a 6, any uncovered 5 or 7 may be moved from the Field unto the Home pile regardless of suit.
- Click on a card to move it from the Field to the Home pile. (The card will automatically move as long as it is eligible to do so.) Now, the card that you just moved becomes the top card in the Home pile, and you continue building on that card.
- Build sequences until the Field is clear. For instance: 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 5, 6, 7... The order can be ascending, descending or both.
- If you are playing the Casual Level you may also build Kings on Aces, and Aces on Kings. For instance: K, A, 2, 3, 2, A, K, Q. (For both the Regular and Expert levels Aces are Low. So, they may only be built on a two, but not on a King).
- When no play is available from the Field, click on the deck. Upon your click, the top card from the deck will turn face up on the Home pile. You now build on that card.
- Jokers are wildcards! A joker may be moved to the Home pile at any time. Once a joker is on the Home pile any uncovered card from the Field may be moved unto the joker.
- The bigger you build a sequence, the higher you’ll score.
- Receive a bonus of 100 points for each remaining card in the deck when you successfully complete a round.
- A Speed Bonus may be earned. Watch the bonus timer at the top. If you successfully complete the round before the time gets down to zero you will earn those points as a bonus.
- You may use the 'Undo' button a total of up to 15 times in a row. Each time you click 'Undo' you lose points.
- If you get stuck you may click the 'Hint' button and Crystal Golf Solitaire will show you a possible move.
- If you are able to clear all cards from the Field before the deck runs out of cards you win, and you go to the next round.
- Should you fail to remove all cards from the Field you lose, and the game ends.

Crystal Golf Solitaire Playing Tips:
- Obviously, the order in which you move cards makes all the difference. Try to set things up so you can build longer sequences. For instance, suppose you have a choice of two different sevens you can move. Let's also suppose you already have an uncoverd Jack and an uncovered nine. If one of the sevens would reveal a two when you move it but the other seven would reveal a ten, it probably makes more sense to uncover the seven with the ten directly underneath it because you now have set up a possible sequence of 9, 10, J.
- If you have a choice of cards to play and one card has other cards underneath it, and the other card does not, always select the card that does. This allows more cards to be put in play and increases your chances of being able to make a move.
- Use the 'Undo' button as much as you need. It is better to lose a few points and still be able to go on to the next round rather than losing the game.
Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.
Comments: Crystal Golf Solitaire is easy enough to win, but still is challenging enough to be fun. The cards are large, and easy to read, which I always appreciate in a card game. The graphics and sounds add a lot of pizzazz. Overall, it a delightful game!
