Youda Farmer

Game Description: Run your farm, grow your crops and provide all shops with the supplies they need in this time management game.

How to Play Youda Farmer:
  • Select a female or male character, enter your farmer name, and select a color for your truck. Then click Ok. On the next game screen click 'Play' to begin.
  • Follow the in-game instructions. Youda Farmer will practically take you by the hand and explain everything you need to do for each level. So, just follow the instructions.
  • Each level has two parts: picking up farm products, and delivering farm products to the villiage merchants.
  • To pick up farm products use your mouse to drag each product into a crate.
  • To deliver farm products use your mouse to click each product to get it into the truck.
  • To get to the next level you must do three things. First, you must pick up enough farm products. Each level has an order target which requires a minimum number of farm products to pick up. You must meet this target or you will have to repeat the level. Second, each level has a delivery target which shows you the number of deliveries you must make. You must meet this target or you will have to repeat the level. Third, each new level requires that you buy a specific farm upgrade from the money you earn from selling your products to the town merchants. If you have not earned enough money to purchase the required upgrade you will have to repeat the level.
  • Youda Farmer should automatically save your game progress. Then, using the same computer, come back to Richard's Game Reviews to continue your game. Make sure you click either 'Play' or 'Load.' Do not click 'Delete' or you will lose your game. Clicking 'New' allows you to keep your game and start a new game by selecting a different name. For example, you could have one game with the name of Robert, and a second game using the name Bob.

Youda Farmer Game Options: All game options may be accessed by clicking the Menu button located in the upper left corner of the game screen. Here are the options:
  • Set the music volume.
  • Set the effects volume.
  • Graphic performance may be set to low or high.
Youda Farmer Playing Tips:
  • Remember, you must use your mouse differently when you pick up and deliver the products. When you pick up the products you must drag each product into a crate. When you deliver your products (put them into the truck) you do not drag with your mouse, but only click on the products. For some reason, the first couple of times I played, I kept trying to drag the products into the truck rather than just clicking. Maybe I was having a 'senior moment'? Anyway, so now you know better. And you won't make the same mistake!
  • Youda Farmer is a time management game. This means you must be efficient with your time to make it to the next level. For instance, you will not be able to click on products to get them into the truck until your truck arrives. You must wait for the truck. With multiple orders to pick up you'll drive more. So, try to fill each order as much as possible before going to the next area.
  • Watch the bottom of the game screen. When your products or orders turn red, this means you must click on them before they disappear!
  • Pick up orders from left to right to make the row combo meter grow. When it reaches 3, 6, or 10 you get row combos. This is worth extra cash!
  • Party products are IMPORTANT to make progress in the game. Quickly click them when you see them.
  • Whenever you can, buy farm upgrades. Some farm upgrades will give you more opportunity to grow your farm and make more money. For instance, if you buy a Chicken Coop you can pick up and deliver eggs. Other farm upgrades allow you to save time and make your farm far more efficient. For instance, buying a Food Processor will speed up egg productivity. The more farm upgrades you have, the better you will do in the game!
Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: Youda Farmer is highly entertaining with wonderful graphics and sounds. I think you will really like this game if you can get good at it.

Con: Youda Farmer is not easy. While it is easy to understand what you need to do, it is not that easy to actually accomplish it. It took me forever to get past level 3. And, it can become very frustrating when you have to repeat a level over and over. (The best thing to do, if you do become frustrated, is to get away from the game for awhile and then come back. When I was stuck on level 3, that's what I did. I came back the next day and I was able to get past level 3 on my very first try!)

Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt

Game Description: Clear all cards from the pyramid by making combinations adding up to the number 13.

How to Play Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt:
  • Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt is a card game played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
  • Each round begins with 28 cards dealt face up in the shape of a pyramid, 3 cards dealt face up at the bottom forming 3 stacks, and the remaining 21 cards left face down forming the pack.
  • Aces count as 1, Jacks as 11 and Queens as 12. Kings count as 13 and can be removed on their own. All other cards are at their face value.
  • The goal is to remove all cards from the pyramid by making combinations that add up to 13.
  • A combination may consist of only one card (a King) or a pair of cards (any 2 cards that add up to 13).
  • Use your left mouse button to click cards that add up to 13 to remove them from the board.
  • The only cards that are in play, and may be clicked, are any card in the pyramid that is not overlapped by another card, the top card from any of the 3 stacks, and any card that is in the 'Temp Card Store' space.
  • You may make a paired combination (that is, 2 cards that add up to 13) by doing any of the following: Click 2 playable cards from the pyramid. Click 2 playable cards from the stacks. Click 1 playable card from the pyramid and 1 playable card from a stack. Click 1 playable card from the pyramid and the card from the 'Temp Card Store.' And finally, click 1 playable card from a stack and the card from the 'Temp Card Store.'
  • When you run out of combinations to make, click the space that says 'More Cards.' Clicking the 'More Cards' space deals 3 more cards, 1 to the top card of each stack.
  • You may move any card in play to the temporary storage area (which Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt calls the 'Temp Card Store') to assist you. To move a card to the 'Temp Card Store' first click on the card, then click the space named 'Temp Card Store.' Only one card at a time is allowed in the 'Temp Card Store' space.
  • You may use the 'Undo' button, at any time, to undo your last move. The 'Undo' button only goes back 1 move. You can never go back farther than 1 move.
  • Score 500 points for each combination you make.
  • Score extra bonus points by completing a round quickly.
  • Score a deck card bonus of 1,000 per card for each card that remains in the pack when you successfully complete a round by removing every card from the pyramid.
  • There is also another bonus called the 'Round Number Bonus.' (Originally I did not know how this bonus worked. But thanks to Krista's insightful comment below, I can now give you the explanation). When you successfully complete Round 1, you receive a 1,000 point round number bonus. Successfully completing Round 2 earns you a 2,000 round number bonus. And successfully completing Round 3 earns you a 3,000 round number bonus, and so forth.
  • Score 10,000 points for removing every card from the board!
  • If you are able to remove all cards from the pyramid, you go to the next round! If you fail, the game is over.

Play Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt on Full Screen

Please Note: Before playing Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page.

Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the lower right side of the game.
  • Anytime you want to pause the game click the 'Menu' button located near the lower right corner of the game screen. (Why this button is not labeled 'pause' is beyond me). To continue your game, click 'Resume.'
Pyramid Solitarie Ancient Egypt Playing Tips:
  • Anytime you click on a card, watch the upper right corner of the game screen. Pyramid Solitaire Ancient Egypt will tell you the rank of the card you need to complete the pair to make a combination adding up to 13.
  • Anytime you have a chance to remove all cards from the board and all cards from the pyramid you should do this because you will earn a bonus of 10,000 points. Make those last few moves carefully. Sometimes making just one move before another can make the difference! But remember. Your first, and most important, priority is to remove all cards from the pyramid so you can make it to the next round.
  • After you have dealt the last 3 cards from the pack Pyramid Solitarie Ancient Egypt will automatically put up a notice that says 'Take Points.' This does not mean anything. It certainly does not mean you have lost the game. It simply means there are no more cards remaining in the pack. Continue playing. Play until you have no more moves left to make. By playing things out, at the very least you will pick up more points even if you do lose. And, very often, you can complete the round successfully and make it to the next round. So, don't let the 'Take Points' message deter you. Keep going!
  • Try to leave the 'Temp Card Store' space open as much as possible. This will give you greater flexibilty when you do need to use this space. I am not suggesting that you do not use the 'Temp Card Space'. On the contrary, I am telling you to leave it open, if possible, so you can use it over and over again. Let me give you an example. Let's say you have an uncovered 8 that is in play, and the 8 is the only card overlapping a 5. If the 'Temp Card Store' space is open you can move the 8 there. Then click on the 8 again to select it and click on the 5. You have accomplished two things. First, you have removed those two cards from the board. And second, because you removed the 8 after moving it to the 'Temp Card Store' space area, that space is empty again and ready to be used for similar situations. So use the 'Temp Card Store' space often, but try to keep it open as much as possible too.
  • Suppose you have this scenario. You have an uncovered 3 in the pyramid that you can play. You also have two tens, each of which are the top card of a stack. One of the tens has no cards underneath it. The other ten does have one or more cards underneath it. Which ten should you pair with the 3? The correct move is to play the ten that has cards underneath it. If you play the ten with no cards underneath it, this opens up a blank space in the stack which has absolutely no value to you. If you play the ten that does have cards underneath it, you expose the next card underneath, and you may be able to pair this newly exposed card with another card to make another combination of 13. Even if you cannot, this still is the correct move because you do not want to allow any stack to become too deep. If you allow a stack to become deep this increases your difficulity. You may need one of the cards that is buried deep within the stack, and the more cards that are on top the harder it will be. So, in the scenario I have laid out, move the ten with the cards underneath it. This is just an example, but I think you get the idea.
  • Sometimes you may have a situation where you can pair a card from a stack with either a card from the pyramid or with a card from one of the other 2 stacks. What should you do? While your first instinct may be to pair it with the card from the pyramid this may not necessarily always be the best move. It really depends on what cards lie underneath the 2 stack cards and what cards lie underneath the pyramid card. Think of it this way. Each time you uncover cards, new moves become possible. So, which move is best usually depends on what lies underneath.
  • Learn to look deep into the pyramid. (No, I am not suggesting anything mystical, lol. I am strictly talking logic here). Look at the cards that are buried deepest near the top of the pyramid. As you progress in a round you should be thinking 'How can I get these cards removed?' Thinking about this early in a round can sometimes help you win the round!
  • Don't hesitate to use the 'Undo' button. That, alone, can sometimes make the difference between winning and losing.
Richard's Rating: 5 out of 5.

Pro: Pyramid Solitarie Ancient Egypt is an excellent game of strategy that will definitely give anyone a challenge. The graphics and sounds are quite good. I especially like to see, and hear, that pyramid rise after winning a round. That is one cool special effect!

Con: If you are not familiar with pyramid solitaire this game will take a little bit of practice to get used to. And, you probably will not have very much fun until you do get good at it. So, practice, practice, practice!!!

Baseball Word Search

Game Description: Find all of the words before time runs out.

How to Play Baseball Word Search:
  • Words can run horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and even backwards.
  • Select each word by clicking on the first letter and dragging your mouse along the word. When you reach the end of the word, let up on the mouse button.
  • If you find a word on the list, then that word will remain circled and the word will be crossed off the list.
  • You have 5 minutes to try to find all 15 words. Good luck!

Baseball Word Search Playing Tips:
  • Do play the game on full screen. It will be a lot easier on your eyes, and you will have much more fun.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Baseball Word Search is quite challenging... at least it is for me.

Con: It's a shame that the game does not show the solution at the end. (Instead, it just quickly goes back to the 'Play Again' screen). It also would have been nice if the game had a pause button, so you could have the option of taking a break to rest your eyes.

Buttonhunt

Game Description: Find and click the red button on each level.

How to Play Buttonhunt:
  • Use your mouse to interact.
  • Complete tasks in each level to locate the button. Sometimes obstacles will come between you and the button. Use your mouse to click, push, pull, drag, and be creative to get past them.
  • Your goal in each level is to find and click the red button. This allows you to move to the next level.
  • If you get stuck, click the blue 'H', located in the upper left corner, for a hint.
  • There are 30 challenging, fun-filled levels of play.

Buttonhunt Playing Tips:
  • As you move your mouse, watch the pointer. When your mouse pointer changes shape, you know you are on the right track! Click in that spot.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: Buttonhunt is inventive, challenging, and so much fun. I think the game itself is a terrific addition to Richard's Game Reviews. Unfortunately, what you will find after you complete the final stage is very disappointing... keep reading.

Con: After you solve level 30 you unlock the golden cup. You can now click the previously locked, but now accessible 'Secrets' button #1 on the Main menu to access what the game developer calls a 'bonus'. I strongly suggest you do not do this. Unfortunately, what you will find there are some very offensive Polish jokes. I did not realize these were there because I didn't advance all the way through the game until after I published it here on Richard's Game Reviews. I am going to leave the game up because the game itself is quite good. Why anyone, in this day and age, would think this is funny I really don't understand.

The Buttonhunt Solution: There are quite a few youtube videos that show the solution to all 30 stages of Buttonhunt. I think I have looked at all of them. From these, I tried to select the best one for you. Unfortunately, all of them are very fast. So, if you do decide to view the video you will likely have to replay it several times. Before you decide to see the answers, try clicking the blue 'H' button one more time. I know ButtonHunt is quite challenging. Sometimes finding that red button seems impossible. But you will only get true satisfaction if you can solve it yourself. What a great moment it is when you finally figure out a level that had you baffled for so long! So, think twice before you look at the answers. Are you really sure you want to spoil your fun? Okay, enough said. Pro: Sneaky's Road Trip Phoenix is yet another great addition to the marvelous Sneaky's Road Trip series of games. Yes, it is quite challenging to find every item... and very fun too. Enjoy!

Con: There appears to be no control (at least that I can find) that allows you to turn off the background music or sound effects. So, you will need to adjust your speakers accordingly.

Castle Wars 2

Game Description: Destroy your enemy's castle, or be the first to build a 100 storey castle. Crush, or be crushed!

How to Play Castle Wars 2:
  • From the main menu select 'Campaign' or 'Practice.' ('Practice' lets you play against an opponent of equal strength. 'Campaign' lets you play against opponents from 3 tribes: Easy, Medium, or Hard. Each tribe has numerous opponents which you will battle one at a time).
  • The purpose of this game is to be the first to build a 100 storey castle or to destroy your opponents castle.
  • In this game, cards are used to perform different actions; and each card has its own action (building, attacking etc). Your job is to select, and use, the cards you think will be most useful and help you win.
  • To find out more about a card, during play, click the 'Card info' button at the lower right corner of the game.
  • Each card requires resources to be used (bricks, crystals, weapons etc.) If you currently have enough resources to use a card, the card will be lit up. To use a lit up card just click on it. Dimmed cards cannot be used because you currently do not have enough resources.
  • If you don't have any cards lit up when it is your turn, you must click the 'Discard' button. This button allows you to discard up to 3 cards. (After you click the 'Discard' button, click on the card or cards you wish to eliminate. If you change your mind, click on a card a second time to put it back in your hand. When done, click OK). You may also click the 'Discard' button when you simply want some new cards. However, each time you use 'Discard' you will lose a turn.
  • In 'Campaign' mode, you can battle any opponent from any of the 3 tribes anytime you want. To reset 'Campaign' mode back to the beginning, so you can battle any of the opponents you have already defeated, click the 'New' button located at the lower left corner on the map page. It is not necessary to defeat every opponent within a tribe. You may switch to either of the other two tribes after a match by clicking the 'Change tribe' button which is also located at the bottom of the map page.
  • 'Campaign' mode should automatically save your game progress as long as you have not turned off the default 'Auto save' feature.

Castle Wars 2 Game Options: All game options can be accessed by clicking the symbol in the upper right corner of the game screen (the one that looks like 2 circles). There are 3 separate tabs.
  • The Audio tab controls the Music and sfx volumes. You can also change the sound track. There are 5 different sound tracks available. But, you probably really don't need to change this because the game seems to use all 5 sound tracks as you progress through the various matches.
  • From the Video tab you may select an Image quality of High, Medium, or Low. Fullscreen Mode may allow you to change the game screen size on some web sites but that feature will not work here on Richard's Game Reviews. (However, I have installed my own full screen link directly below the game. So, if you want to play Castle Wars 2 in Full Screen mode, which is very fun, you do have that option). There is also a control for Fade speed.
  • The Game tab really does not need any changes. The default for Card speed is set for fast and you will probably have more fun if you leave it that way. The Action and Castle animations can be turned off. But, why would you want to? The Auto save feature can be disabled. But, then your game may not save automatically.

Castle Wars 2 Playing Tips:
  • If this is your first time playing Castle Wars 2 click 'How To Play' from the main menu. The game will take you through a brief guide and explain some of the basic rules. It doesn't explain everything, of course, but this is a good starting point.
  • Don't worry if you don't understand all of the rules... or even any of the rules. Just start playing. The best way to learn this game is to simply start playing. The game is very intuitive. In no time at all you will be playing at lightning speed.
  • If you are playing 'Campaign' mode begin with the Easy tribe, then work your way up to Medium and Hard. 'Practice' mode is also very fun, and is a great game in and of itself.
  • Watch the Stat bar at the top of the game. These stats show your, and your opponents, resources. Your stats are on the left. Your opponents stats are on the right. The most important stat, by far, is the castle stat. (This is the one that is near the center. It looks like a castle with a tower on each side.) Pay extreme attention to the number under your castle stat and your opponents castle stat. This tells you the height of each castle. Remember, you and your opponent are both building a castle. If your castle height gets to 100 storeys first you win. If your opponent is able to build its castle to 100 first... you lose!
  • When your opponent does not have a wall up in front of its castle... this can be an opportune time to attack! Without a wall to absorb part, or all, of your attack you can inflict maximum damage to your opponents castle.
  • Learn how to 'read' the cards. The top left corner of the card tells you the type of resource you must spend to use the card. The number in the top right corner of the card tells you how much of this resource must be spent. And, probably the most important part of the card... the bottom, tells you what the card will do.
  • When you know that your opponent has used a 'Magic Defense' card, (which is like a magic shield that will protect its wall and castle from the next attack), try not to waste a large attack card. Instead try to use a smaller, weaker, attack card. This is because the shield will repel most, if not all, attack cards. Using any attack card will remove the shield, but no damage will be done. So, keep the bigger attack card if you can, and just waste the smaller one.

Richard's Rating: 5 out of 5.

Comments: Castle Wars 2 is phenomenal! The animation is absolutely extraordinary. The graphics and audio effects are exceptional and clever. And the wonderful music ties everything together in one perfect package. (Oh, and it also happens to be a fantastic strategic game as well!) I cannot even begin to tell you how truly great this game is in mere words. The only way you will truly know, is to play this game and experience it yourself.

Marble Lines

Game Description: Destroy all of the marbles before they reach the hole.

How to Play Marble Lines:
  • In Marble Lines the marbles are lined up, and gradually advance towards the hole.
  • The marbles are shot from a turret located near the center of the screen. Move your mouse to change the direction of the turret. Click the mouse to shoot the marbles.
  • The turret shows two marbles. The larger marble is the one currently loaded in the turret and ready to be shot. The smaller marble shows the next available marble to be shot. Press the space bar to swap the larger marble with the smaller marble when it is to your advantage.
  • Your goal is to destroy all marbles by forming groups of 3 or more marbles of the same color.
  • If you destroy all of the marbles before they reach the hole, you will advance to the next level. If you fail, the game is over!

Marble Lines Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon, located near the upper right corner of the game screen.
  • To pause your game, click the question mark located to the left of the microphone icon. To resume, click 'Start'.

Marble Lines Playing Tips:
  • Make sure your mouse cursor remains within the game screen. If your cursor goes off of the game screen you will be unable to shoot the marbles.
  • Marble Lines will always show you the next available marble that can be shot. (You will see the next available marble displayed as a smaller marble in the turret). Pay attention to this. Knowing what marble comes next can help you plan your next shot.
  • Sometimes the marble in the turret may not have a clear shot at two adjoining marbles of the same color. There are four things you can do. One option would be to wait until you do have a clear shot. (Only use this option if the wait will be very short). A second option would be to fire at a marble of the same color. Now you have two adjoining marbles for that color. The next time this colored marble appears in the turret you may be able to shoot this group of two. A third option exists if you have a clear path to any edge of the game screen without any marbles blocking your way. In that case, simply rotate the turret and fire toward the edge of the game screen. The ball will harmlessly exit from the game screen and not add to the number of marbles you need to destroy. Finally, a fourth option, would be not to fire the marble currently in the turret, but instead, to swap it with the next available marble. To make this swap, click your space bar. (This swap is only possible if the two marbles in the turret are different colors. If the two marbles are the same color; no swap is possible. You will have to fire the current marble in the turret before you can get to the next marble).
  • Look for combinations. For instance, if you have the following sequence of marbles: yellow, yellow, red, red, yellow, and yellow; you could fire a red marble at the two adjoining red marbles and all 6 marbles will be destroyed! (Your shot would take out the 2 red marbles because the red marble you fired from the turret creates a match of 3 red marbles. And, the 2 yellow marbles to the left of the 2 red marbles, would join with the 2 yellow marbles to the right, forming a combination of 4 yellow marbles). Once you become a little bit experienced with Marble Lines you will easily learn how to recognize these combinations.

Richard's Rating: 5 out of 5.

Pro: Marble Lines has a very clean, sleek look, with superb graphics. It is simply an outstanding game in every way!

  • You begin the game with $500 dollars.
  • Each round costs you $2.

Pro: Mini-Bingo is a relaxing and fun game for Bingo fans!

Con: There does not seem to be any way (at least that I can find) to change your selection from 'Easy', 'Medium', or 'Hard' in the middle of the game. That would have been a nice feature. But, to make this change, the only alternative seems to be to start the entire game over again from the beginning.

Whizz Wordz

  • To begin a new round click on the green 'New Letters' button.
  • For each round, 16 random letters will be dealt from the bag.
  • Each round lasts 2 minutes. You have these 2 minutes to create as many words as possible.
  • Words are created by clicking on the letters. (To remove a letter from your word just click on the letter again.)
  • To complete a word, click on the 'Enter' button located near the lower right corner.
  • Words must be at least 3 letters in length to be valid, and found in the Whizz Wordz dictionary.
  • If the word is valid (found in the dictionary) scores will be added to the relevant categories and the word will be displayed in the list.
  • If the word is invalid (not found in the dictionary) no score will be awarded, and you simply must try again.
  • Each word can only be used once per round.
  • At the end of each round you will need to select which of the 8 categories to score. (You do this by simply clicking inside the box to the right of each category. This will place a green checkmark inside of the box, telling you that the category has been scored).
  • Each category can only be scored once. So choose carefully!
  • Once a score has been selected click on the 'New Letters' button to begin a new round.
  • Play ends after the 8th, and final round.

Play Whizz Wordz on Full Screen

Please Note: Before playing Whizz Wordz in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page.

Whizz Wordz Game Categories: Here are the 8 Whizz Wordz categories. (In addition to these 8 categories you can score an extra 200 points in any round by completing an 8 letter word. This is called the Bonus 8. The Bonus 8 may only be scored one time per round).
  • 3 - Words with 3 letters.
  • 4 - Words with 4 letters.
  • 5 - Words with 5 letters.
  • 6+ - Words with 6 or more letters.
  • 20+ - To score in this category you must spell 20 or more words in a single round.
  • Slam - To score a slam you must use every letter at least once in a single round.
  • Straight - To score a straight you must have at least a 3, 4, and 5 letter word. Additional points can be scored for 6, 7, and 8 letter words.
  • Count - Simply score 5 points for every valid word.

Whizz Wordz Playing Tips:
  • There are two ways to play Whizz Wordz. One way is wrong. The other way is right. The first way would be to build all kinds of words willy-nilly. Then, after the round is over, decide which category to score. That is the wrong way! The second way... the right way... is this: As soon as you see the letters dealt for each round make an immediate decision within the first 5-10 seconds. Decide which category you will score... then go for it! For example, if you decide to go for the 5 letter word category then only concentrate on building 5 letter words. Remember, make a quick decision and stick to it. This allows you to concentrate on only one category at a time, which is precisely what you need to do to achieve a high score.
  • Anytime you have the letter 'S' available, take advantage and make plurals. For instance from the words rat, bat, and cat; make the words rats, bats, and cats.
  • Always try, if possible, to build an 8 letter word for each round regardless of which category you choose. This will give you an extra 200 points per round!
  • Although the game tells you that you may click the 'Help' button, located at the bottom left corner of the game screen anytime, to review the game rules; do not do this during game play. Because if you do, the clock will not stop and will continue to run down. So if you need to reread the rules, do this between rounds.

Comments: If you enjoy word games, you should find Whizz Wordz quite fun.

Bomboozle

Game Description: Destroy blobs by making matches of 3 or more. Explode bombs to destroy even more blobs!

How to Play Bomboozle:
  • Click the Start button.
  • Choose your style of play... Infinite, Timed, or Skull.
  • Select 'Infinite' or 'Skull' if you want a game where you can take your time to plan each move.
  • 'Skull' is similar to 'Infinite' but a little harder because the skull blobs are introduced earlier in the game. (As the game progresses, different blobs are introduced making it harder to match blobs of the same color.)
  • Select 'Timed' if you want a fast-paced game. A timed game lasts only 5 minutes. So, you will have to make fast decisions to score as many points as you can before the 5 minutes are up.
  • Find a group of 3 or more blobs of the same color and draw a line connecting them by clicking and dragging with the mouse.
  • Let go, or click again, to make the selected blobs explode and those above drop down! (Incidentally, skull blobs can be destroyed just like any other blob.)
  • Lines of 6 or more blobs are rewarded with a bomb.
  • Click on a bomb for maximum carnage!
  • The multi-colored wildcard blobs will match with blobs of any color.
  • The 'Infinite' and 'Skull' games end when there are no more groups or bombs on the board.
  • A 'Timed' game lasts approximately 5 minutes. When the 5 minutes are up the game ends. (I suppose it is theoretically possible to run out of moves before the 5 minutes are up, and the game would end then. But practically speaking, this would seem highly improbable.)

Bomboozle Game Options:
  • The music and sound volumes may be adjusted by clicking the 'Options' button located on the Main Menu. (If you are currently playing a game, and wish to adjust the sound volumes, first click the 'Pause' button. Then click the 'Main Menu' button. Click the 'Options' button and adjust the music and sound volumes. Next, click the 'Back' button to return to the Main Menu. To return to your paused game from the main menu click the 'Start' button. Then be sure to click the style of game you are currently playing; either 'Infinite,' 'Timed,' or 'Skull'.)
  • The game may be paused by clicking the 'Pause' button. Click the 'Continue' button to resume your game.

Bomboozle Playing Tips:
  • Try to make as many bombs as you can by making groups of 6 or more blobs. Bombs will give you lots of points and keep you in the game longer.
  • Use multi-colored wildcard blobs, when possible, to help make more bombs.
  • Sometimes Bomboozle will suggest a move by showing a white moving arrow. Please remember, this is just a random move. Look around. You may find a much better move!
  • If you are playing the 'Infinite' or 'Skull' styles take your time and plan each move carefully. Study the board. Look at the blobs above. Where will they fall? When they do fall, will they make more matches for you? (It is also important to plan your moves with the 'Timed' style as well. But, you will have somewhat less time to think.)

Comments: Bomboozle is great fun! All 3 styles: 'Infinite,' 'Timed,' or 'Skull' have their own advantages. Overall, it is a terrific game!

Sultan Solitaire

Game Description: The goal of the Sultan Solitaire card game is to end the game with the Sultan (King of Hearts) surrounded by his eight Queens. The cards in the foundation piles must be built up by suit in order.

How to Play Sultan Solitaire:
  • Sultan Solitaire consists of 2 full decks of cards, minus the jokers.
  • The cards are dealt with the King of Hearts (the Sultan) in the middle, and 8 foundation cards surrounding the Sultan. There are also 6 cards placed face-up around the main layout to make up the reserve. The remaining 88 cards remain face-down and form the deck, with one card face-up immediately to the right of the deck. That card is the first card in the waste pile.
  • The foundation cards consist of 7 Kings plus the Ace of Hearts.
  • The goal is build each foundation by suit and in order up to Queen (so the sultan ends up surrounded by his 8 Queens!)
  • For the Ace of Hearts foundation you would build 2 of Hearts, 3 of Hearts, etc.
  • On the Kings, the order is Ace, 2, 3, etc, of the appropriate suit.
  • No cards may be placed on the Sultan.
  • Once the cards are dealt the player can make moves by clicking with his mouse.
  • Click the deck to move the top card from the face-down deck and place it in the face-up waste pile.
  • Click the top card in the waste pile to move it to one of the foundations.
  • Click a reserve card to move it to one of the foundations.
  • Click an empty reserve space to move the top card on the waste pile to the empty space.
  • When there are no more cards in the deck, the player may redeal. This will shuffle the cards in the waste pile and put them face-down in the deck.
  • Only 2 redeals are allowed per game. (This means you go through the pack 3 times. First, with the original deal, and then the 2 redeals.) At that point the game ends, and you will have either won or lost.
  • Your final score depends on the combination of two factors: your skill of how fast you are, and the total number of cards added to the foundation cards. Please note, a lower score is better! (As a personal note, I don't really bother with the score. I play in a relaxed manner and simply enjoy winning the game!)

Sultan Solitaire Game Options:
  • The music may be turned on or off by clicking the Music on/off button located at the lower left corner of the game screen.
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the Sound on/off button also located at the lower left corner of the game screen.

Sultan Solitaire Playing Tips:
  • Stay alert! Try not to miss any moves when a card is eligible to be moved to a foundation pile (either from the waste pile or from the reserve cards.)
  • Always move a card to a foundation pile as soon as possible. The less cards remaining in the deck, the better.
  • Use strategy when moving a card from the waste pile to an empty reserve space. This is where the game will be won or lost. Do not simply move a card from the waste pile to an empty reserve space simply because that card happens to be the top card on the waste pile. It is better to wait until you find a card that will help you. Generally, you want to place cards in the reserve spaces when you believe there is a good chance that you will be able to soon play that card to one of the foundation piles. For instance, if the top card in one of the foundation piles shows an 8 of clubs, the 10 of clubs may be a good choice to put in a reserve space because as soon as the 9 of clubs comes up you can then immediately play the 10. (This would be especially true if you have noticed that the 9 of clubs has not yet come up in the deal. You may also be able to look at the face-up cards in the waste pile if it is still early in the deal. If you can clearly see all of the overlapping cards in the waste pile and do not see the 9 of clubs then you know for sure it is still in the deck. Later in the deal, as more cards overlap, you may not be able to do a visual check because the cards get too closely bunched.)
  • Sometimes it may be to your advantage to leave several reserve spaces blank at the same time until you can find some good cards that you think will help you the most. Only then, should you fill the reserve spaces. Of course, you don't want to wait an unreasonable amont time to fill the reserve spaces. This is where judgment and strategy comes in.
  • Remember, you go through the deck 3 times. On the final deal try to position cards of the same suit so the lower ranked cards are on top of the higher ranked cards in the waste pile. For example you would want the 7 of diamonds to be closer to the top of the waste pile, and the 8 of diamonds to be buried further down in the waste pile. And the 9 of diamonds to be buried even further down than the 8 of diamonds. (You can somewhat manipulate the waste pile by your choice of the cards you choose to place in the six reserve spaces.) You will not have to be perfect to win. But do this as much as possible to increase your chances.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: This very winnable, yet challenging, game starts off slowly... then builds. With the first deal you may not be able to make too many moves. The second deal allows you to make more moves. And, if you have played your cards right, the third and final deal will be a flurry of decisions and moves. With a little practice, you should be able to overcome even a bad hand and still win. Large, and easily readable, cards enhance the experience. Overall, Sultan Solitaire is a super game to play!
