Parking Zone

Game Description: Try to move each car into its matching color parking space. Can you make it through 40 challenging levels?

How to Play Parking Zone:

  • There are 5 cars. Each car is a different color.
  • There are 6 parking spaces. Each car has its own matching color parking space, plus there is one additional parking space that has no color on its outer ring.
  • Each parking space can only be occupied by one car at a time.
  • A car can only move into an unoccupied space when it has a piece of road that leads directly to the empty space.
  • Move each car by clicking on it with your left mouse button.
  • Your goal is to move each car into its matching color parking space in as few moves as possible.
  • The fewer moves you use, the more points you score!
  • Although your goal is to use the fewest moves possible, you can keep trying until you succeed. You have an unlimited amount of moves available.
  • You may click the 'reset' button to move the cars back to their original positon on any level. However, this does not wipe out the moves you have already made. Those moves still count on your score, and will not be erased by clicking reset.
  • There is no time limit. As a matter of fact, Parking Zone does not even use a clock. So, there is no hurry. You may take as long as you wish.
  • The 'give up' button does not seem to function. As far as I can tell, it does not seem to do anything.
  • When you get all 5 cars into their matching color parking spaces, you go on to the next level of play.
  • There are 40 levels.

Parking Zone Game Options:
  • The 'show animation' button, located in the lower left corner may be turned on or off. (As long as the game works okay, there is really no reason to turn the animation off).

Parking Zone Playing Tips:
  • This game is challenging enough that I suggest you simply ignore the scoring. Just play it casually and simply try to make it through to the next level. I think if you take my suggestion and forget about the scoring, chances are, you will relax and have a lot more fun.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Parking Zone starts out rather easy but gets more difficult as you go along. I found levels 25, 27, and 29 particularly hard. If you like a game that is challenging, but certainly solvable, Parking Zone is a game you should enjoy.

Con: After you finish board 40, the game does show board 41. However, there are no roads for board 41 and the cars are no longer clickable. So, I can only conclude that there actually is no board 41. Board 41 is simply a picture. Unfortunately, this is a somewhat disappointing and rather anticlimactic way to end such a fine game.
