Show Jumping

Game Description: Ride a horse and jump over different obstacles, walls and fences to complete each course.

How to Play Show Jumping:
  • Click the 'Play' button.
  • The Up arrow key makes the horse run faster.
  • The Down arrow key stops the horse.
  • The Right arrow key turns the horse to the right.
  • The Left arrow key turns the horse to the left.
  • The Space bar makes the horse jump, (but only when the horse is galloping).
  • Notice the tiredness bar at the top right corner. If the horse gallops, it gets tired quickly. A tired horse will slow down.
  • Each course has obstacles that the horse must jump over.
  • Each of the obstacles is given a number.
  • You must jump each obstacle in the correct numeric order. That is, jump over obstacle 1, 2, 3, and so forth.
  • The number at an obstacle shows which side the horse must approach to jump over the obstacle.
  • For every jump that you complete, but do not do cleanly, you will earn 4 fault points.
  • The clock is at the top.
  • Once the clock goes down to zero, you will earn one fault point per second until you finish the course.
  • You will earn a score if you are able to complete all of the jumps. You will also go on to the next level.
  • Fault points will be deducted from your level score.
  • Your goal is to complete each course without getting disqualified, and to score as many points as you can.
  • You will get disqualified when you run into an object, when you run into the fence that surrounds the race course, or when you break the route by jumping an obstacle out of order.
  • When you get disqualified you must repeat the level you are currently on. You will not need to go back to the beginning of the game.
  • Each level has its own course. I believe, although I have not personally verified this, that there are 6 levels of play.

Show Jumping Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the upper right corner.

Show Jumping Playing Tips:
  • Practice, practice, practice! Show jumping has a definite learning curve. You will need to learn how to control your horse.
  • When you first start playing, it can be frustrating to keep getting disqualified over and over again. But, if you keep at it, all of a sudden it does get a lot easier.
  • Watch for the red circle icons with numbers in them. Should you get lost on the course, they will point you in the direction of the next obstacle to jump over.
  • On the second jump on level 2, after you jump the obstacle there is very little room to stop before hitting the fence. If you are having trouble with this jump, you may want to simply walk through the obstacle and pick up the four fault points. At least it is better than getting disqualified.
  • For me personally, I find Show jumping to be a very difficult game. I don't even worry about my score. I just concentrate on trying to compete each course. If you are struggling with this game, you may want to take the same approach.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Show Jumping features superb 3D graphics, animations, and sounds. Yes, it does take some practice. But, once you start to get good at it, it quickly becomes enjoyable.

Con:
  • Show Jumping requires a lot of patience. As I previously mentioned, there is a definite learning curve. If you are not a patient person, do yourself a favor and do not attempt to play this game because you will get frustrated very quickly.
  • Occasionally, your horse may get stuck on one of the rails. When this happens there is nothing you can do except to refresh the page and begin the entire game over again, which is very frustrating.
  • Show Jumping does not save your game progress, which is certainly a shame.

SwizzlePop!

Game Description: SwizzlePop is a fast-paced, boggle inspired, word action/puzzle game. Form words fast enough to prevent the bombs from exploding! Collect gold and silver squares to score extra points. How long can you last?

How to Play SwizzlePop:
  • Click the 'Play' button.
  • Click any letter to begin spelling a word.
  • Then, click on adjoining letters to form your word.
  • If you decide to try to form a different word, click any non-adjoining letter (that is, any letter that is not touching the previous letter), to begin a new word.
  • Each adjoining letter can be in any direction: top, bottom, left, right, or even diagonally (as long as the next letter is touching the previous letter in some way, even if it is at just a corner).
  • When your word is complete, click the last letter twice to submit it. (Or, press enter).
  • If your word is accepted, the letters will be removed from the board.
  • If your word is unacceptable you will hear a clicking sound, and you will need to try a different word.
  • Words must be at least 2 letters long.
  • You can use the same words as many times as you want, over and over again.
  • Silver squares double your word score.
  • Gold squares triple your word score.
  • Squares with a green arrow shift the squares in a new direction.
  • Watch out for faded squares. They won't stick around much longer. And they might turn into a bomb!
  • You begin the game with 3 lives. (Your lives are represented by the pink hearts in the upper right corner).
  • Your main goal is to diffuse bombs before they explode.
  • To diffuse a bomb, and get it off of the board, you must include its letter in one of your words.
  • Bombs start out as grey.
  • If you wait too long to diffuse a bomb, it will eventually turn to red and explode!
  • Each time a bomb explodes, you lose 1 life.
  • After you lose a life, you can regain a life by forming a word with a square that has a pink heart. (However, you are never allowed to have more than the 3 lives you begin the game with.)
  • The game ends when you lose your last life.

SwizzlePop Game Options:
  • Press 'p' to pause the game. Press 'p' again to resume.

SwizzlePop Playing Tips:
  • If you don't see any letters around a bomb that you can form a word with, try forming a word that has a letter with a green arrow on its square. This will shift the board around, and often place more favorable letters around the bomb.
  • Remember after you lose a life, you can regain a life by forming a word with a pink heart on its square.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: SwizzlePop is a lively, and challenging game. If you enjoy word games, you certainly should have fun with this one.

Magic Rune Matching

Game Description: Match runes to clear the entire board before time runs out.

How to Play Magic Rune Matching:
  • Click on a rune. Then, click on its identical pair.
  • If there is a clear path between the matching runes, Magic Rune Matching will draw a line connecting the two runes and they will be removed from the board.
  • If there is no clear path between the two matching runes, the runes will not be removed. You will first have to remove other runes that are blocking the way. Then, try again.
  • Your goal is to remove all runes from the board before time runs out to advance to the next level.
  • The timer is the dragon's head at the bottom of the game screen. The bar that goes into the dragon's head indicates the time. When the bar retreats all the way into the dragon's head, time is up!
  • To pause the game, click the purple pause button located at the lower right corner. (When the game is paused, the pause button turns into a green arrow. Click the green arrow to resume your game).
  • If you get stuck for a while, and cannot find a match, click the Hint button (The Hint button is located near the lower right corner and looks like a pair of red lips). When you click the Hint button Magic Rune Matching will highlight two matching runes for you by changing their backgrounds to a flashing yellow color.
  • You can click the Hint button only a limited number of times per level. (I believe you are allowed to click the Hint button up to 3 times per level, although it could possibly be 4 on some of the higher levels. I am not quite sure about that though. But the point is, there is a limit, so use the hints only when you get stuck).
  • If you get seriously stuck, you will probably want to click the Reshuffle button. (The Reshuffle button is also located near the lower right corner. It is the green circular object, between the Hint button and the Pause button). When you click the Reshuffle button Magic Rune Matching will reshuffle the entire board for you.
  • You are allowed only a limited number of reshuffles per level, so use them wisely. I believe the number of reshuffles allowed is 3, although it could possibly be 4 on some of the higher levels. (Occasionally, you will come across a situation where there are no more possible moves to make on the entire board. When this occurs, Magic Rune Matching will automatically reshuffle the runes for you, and you will not lose any of your official reshuffles should you have any remaining).
  • If you are able to clear the entire board before time is up, you go on to the next level.
  • If you fail to clear the entire board, you will see the 'Game Over' screen. This is actually a misnomer because the game can continue if you want it to! You have a choice to make. On the 'Game Over' screen, click the 'Continue' button to replay the same level again. You will lose any score you earned on the failed level, but you will retain the rest of your score. (As far as I can tell, as long as you keep clicking the 'Continue' button, it looks like the game allows you to play a level an unlimited number of times until you succeed). Your other choice is to click the 'Replay' button to begin the entire game over again. Just remember this: 'Continue' means you keep playing the same game. 'Replay' means you are starting a brand new game back at Level 1.

Magic Rune Matching Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the top of the game screen.

Magic Rune Matching Playing Tips:
  • Look for matches along the outside borders. Any 2 identical runes that are on the same border can be matched. For instance, if both runes are on either the top, right side, bottom, or left side border they can be matched. It is also sometimes possible to match identical runes when they are on adjacent borders. In other words, you can sometimes match around one corner, but not two. This means a rune that is on the top or bottom border can sometimes be matched if its identical pair is on one of the side borders. However, if one rune is on the top border and its pair is on the bottom border it probably cannot be matched because you would have to go around two corners. (Later when you remove enough runes from the interior you can, of course, make a direct connection). The same thing would apply to two identical runes should one be located on the left border and its pair located on the right border.
  • Sometimes, you have to work from the interior. As you make matches in the interior you must try to create enough matches to create a hole in the interior. As the hole becomes larger, more matches become possible.
  • Any 2 identical runes that are side-by-side (either horizontally or vertically) may be matched.
  • When you find a match, you do not need to wait until Magic Rune Matching removes your previous match from the board. Simply click matches as fast as you can, and Magic Rune Matching will easily keep up.
  • If you are observant, you will notice that each time you make a match, all of the other runes that are identical on the board will flicker. Keep your eyes open for this flickering. This can help you make more matches quicker. This is especially important to do on the higher levels, where you have a greater number of runes to contend with.
  • Don't forget to use the Hint button, and Reshuffle button, when needed. This can really be a huge help in a tough situation.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: Magic Rune Matching is challenging, and quite fun. The graphics and sounds are pleasing, and add to the overall enjoyment.

Word Master

Game Description: Eerie things are happening at the haunted house in Word Master. In this spell-binding online word game, help the young girl escape her nightmare by spelling as many words as you can with the given letters. Click on letters to add them to a word. Click submit when your word is finished. Find the 8-letter word for maximum points. Time is running out! Can you spell your way out?

How to Play Word Master:
  • For each level you are given 8 letters to form words.
  • Click letters with your mouse to spell words. When your word is finished click 'Submit.'
  • You may also use your keyboard to spell words. Press 'Enter' to submit a word. (Hint: If you know how to touch-type, using your keyboard will be much faster than using your mouse!)
  • Should you change your mind while forming a word, click 'Clear.' (If you are using your keyboard, you will also have to use your mouse to click 'Clear'. There seems to be no keyboard equivalent for Clear. At least none that I have been able to find).
  • Words must be at least 3 letters long.
  • The longer your word, the more points you will score!
  • Each level has a target score, and a time limit.
  • If you reach the target score before time runs out you go on to the next level.
  • If you fail to reach the target score... it's game over!
  • Bonus levels are played differently than the other levels. For bonus levels there is a time limit, but there is no target score. On bonus levels you are only allowed to spell 8-letter words, which earn you bonus points. If you are unable to spell any 8-letter words on a bonus level you will not earn any additional points. The sole purpose of the bonus level is to earn extra points. You cannot lose the game on a bonus level. It is a free level; meaning you will always go on to the next level.

Word Master Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the sound icon located in the lower left corner.
Word Master Playing Tips:
  • If you know how to touch-type, use your keyboard. This will be much faster than using your mouse.
  • Use plurals. If you have the letter 'S' in your puzzle, use the plural form of words in addition to the singular form.
  • Look for common suffixes such as 'ED', 'ING', and 'NESS'. Adding suffixes to words can help you form longer words and score more points.
Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: There are several things I like about Word Master. For one thing, Word Master is neither too easy, or too hard. It strikes a nice balance. Another thing I like is that Word Master, unlike some word games, does not allow nonsense words. The words you spell have to be legitimate words. Overall, Word Master is challenging, but not too challenging, and rather fun. If you are a fan of word games, Word Master will probably be a game you will want to play over and over again.

Formula Racer

Game Description: Race against 23 other cars on 8 different tracks. Earn prize money for each race, and upgrade your car to make it even faster!

How to Play Formula Racer:
  • For each race there are 24 race cars.
  • Your car is the red car.
  • The other 23 cars are your opponents.
  • You begin each race in 24th place.
  • Press the Up arrow key to accelerate.
  • Press the Down arrow key to brake.
  • Press the Left and Right arrow keys to steer.
  • You may also use the w-a-s-d keys to control your car.
  • The Kinetic Boost is a system which gathers energy and stores it while driving.
  • Your boost level rises automatically, and rises even quicker during braking.
  • Hitting other vehicles depletes your boost.
  • Keep an eye on the lower right corner of the game screen where you will see your Kinetic Boost.
  • When it's 20% full, Formula Racer will display the words 'Press SPACE' (you may also press your 'n' key).
  • Pressing the spacebar (or your 'n' key), during the time the boost is ready will give you a quick powerful burst of speed.
  • The Kinetic Boost can only be used when it is at least 20% full (that is, only when you see the display words 'Press SPACE'). Because your boost continuously rises and falls, the 'ready period' may sometimes last only a few seconds at a time. Other times it may last longer, depending on your driving.
  • As the race progresses, you can see what place you are currently running in, at the top of the screen.
  • You earn prize money for each race you complete, even if you finish in last place.
  • The amount of prize money you win depends on what position you finish. Naturally, the higher you finish the more prize money you win. (The exact amount of money you win will be displayed in the 'Race Results' window after you cross the finish line. Your results will be listed as 'Player', and will be outlined with a yellow box).
  • There are 8 different tracks you can race on.
  • When you first start playing Formula Racer only the first track, the USA track, is open. The remaining tracks are locked.
  • Each track has a license fee.
  • You can unlock each track by paying the license fee with the prize money you win.
  • You can race on any unlocked track as many times as you want. Not only is this of course fun, but each time you race you earn prize money.
  • Any unused prize money accumulates, and carries over to future races. (This makes it easy to unlock all of the tracks because if you don't have enough money to buy the license fee, you simply keep racing until you do).
  • You can also use your prize money to buy upgrades for your car. Upgrades help your car run better and faster. There are up to 16 levels of upgrades for your car.
  • Finish in the top 3 positions on all 8 tracks to unlock the special car!
  • Formula Racer should automatically save your game progress, as long as you use the same computer. So, each time you play you can pick up right where you last left off!

Formula Racer Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the sound icon (located on some of the pre-race screens in the lower left corner, and located during the race at the upper right corner).

Formula Racer Playing Tips:
  • Avoid contact with other cars.
  • Learn the tracks and find the best racing lines.
  • Between races, you can adjust the car setup. Click the 'Set Up Car' button. Adjust the car setup between speed, handling, and boost, by dragging the cursor around the setup triangle. (Different setups can suit different tracks. For instance, rain makes you skid more, so try increasing the handling on wet tracks).
  • Although the game's 'Help Manual' tells you to hit the boost when coming out of bends, personally I find it easier to simply use the boost on any straight section of track. The main thing you want to avoid when using the boost is, of course, not to go too fast on a turn and end up skidding off the track.
  • Do buy the upgrades for your car when they become available. The upgrades will help your car run better and go faster. (Don't forget to click the 'Upgrade' button to complete the transaction).

Richard's Rating: 5 out of 5.

Comments: Formula Racer features excellent 3d graphics and sounds. I especially enjoy the variety of race tracks you can race on. Among the eight available tracks, you will probably find one or two that will become your favorites . If you enjoy car racing games, Formula Racer is certainly one of the better ones around.

Hidden Objects Room

Hidden Objects Room
Game Description: In Hidden Objects Room there are four rooms with hidden objects. Each room has ten hidden objects, so there are a total of forty hidden items in all. Score 100 points for each hidden object you find and click. But be careful, because you will lose 30 points each time you click anywhere other than on a hidden object. Points will also be deducted for time taken after you finish the game. So the less time you take, the higher you will score. Good luck!

How to Play Hidden Objects Room:
  • Click the 'Play' button.
  • The objects you need to find are listed at the bottom of the game screen.
  • Use your mouse to click on the hidden objects.
  • Each time you successfully find a hidden object it will disappear from the screen.
  • Find all 10 objects to advance to the next level.
  • There are 4 levels of play.

Hidden Objects Room Scoring:
  • Earn 100 points each time you click on a hidden object.
  • Lose 30 points each time you click anywhere other than a hidden object.
  • A perfect score would theoretically be 4,000 points. 4,000 points, however, is impossible to achieve because Hidden Objects Room now deducts points for time taken. So even if you do manage to find all 40 objects without making a mistake, you cannot possibly score 4,000 points. However, the less time you take to complete the entire game, the fewer points you will lose. So the idea is to find all 40 hidden objects as fast as you can, while making as few mistakes as possible to achieve the highest score you can.
  • Please Note: At the time I published the leaderboard, which you can see if you scroll down the page just a bit, seven players did indeed score a perfect 4,000 points. You can see this yourself if you click on the leaderboard 'all' tab. However it is my opinion, that 4,000 points is no longer possible. I say this because is looks to me that the scoring system was very likely changed after the game was first published. I believe in the very early days of Hidden Objects Room that no points were deducted for time taken. Back then the only thing someone needed to do to score 4,000 points was to simply click on all 40 hidden objects without making an error. Since that is no longer the case, just do the best you can.

Play Hidden Objects Room on Full Screen

Please Note: Before playing Hidden Objects Room in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page.

Hidden Objects Room Game Options:
  • The music may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located near the bottom right corner of the game screen.

Hidden Objects Room Playing Tips:
  • Do play Hidden Objects Room on full screen. It will be much easier to find some of the smaller objects.

Hidden Objects Room Walkthrough:
  • If you would like to see the solution to all four levels, here is the Hidden Objects Room video Walkthrough from YouTube. This video plays ridiculously fast. I don't think even Superman, even with his x-ray vision, could follow along. lol. So, you will definitely need to view it more than once. Try pausing the video, and slowing it down as much as you can.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: This game presents a nice mix of easy and hard to find items. Even when you finally do figure out where all 40 hidden objects are located the game can still continue to be fun, because the challenge now becomes to see how quickly you can find and click on all of the 40 hidden objects without making a single mistake and try to see how high you can score on the Hidden Objects Room leaderboard.

Wordomat

Game Description: Guess the mystery phrase. What is the capital of Mongolia? Or, how about the capital of Honduras? Who was born Shelton Jackson Lee? These are the types of things you will need to know, figure out, or guess at, as you play Wordomat.

How to Play Wordomat:
  • There are blank spaces representing each letter of the mystery phrase, separated into words.
  • For each puzzle you are given a category, or a clue.
  • Use your mouse to click on a letter from the letterboard at the top, that you believe is part of the mystery phrase.
  • You are allowed up to four wrong guesses. If you guess five wrong letters, you are deemed incorrect and your score (your percentage of correct answers) will go lower.

Wordomat Game Options:
  • The sound may be turned on or off by clicking the 'Sound On/Off' button at the bottom.
  • Made too many mistakes? Click the 'Restart' button, also located at the bottom to begin a new game.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: Wordomat is, if nothing else, educational. You are bound to learn a new thing, or two.

Pac Adventure Dracula's Castle

Game Description: Dracula has stolen Pacman's girlfriend. Pacman must now enter Dracula's castle and rescue his girlfriend. Your job is to assist Pacman!

How to Play Pac Adventure Dracula's Castle:
  • Click the 'new game' button.
  • Type your name in the box where it says 'enter your name'. (You will need to enter a name in case you wish to come back later and resume your saved game). Any name, even a made up name, a first name, or just an initial will do. It doesn't really matter. (The name you enter will only show up on your personal computer. So, nobody else will see it).
  • Click the 'start game' button.
  • Use the 4 arrow keys to contol Pacman.
  • Avoid Dracula's bats, ghosts and so forth. Also, avoid spikes and other things that will harm Pacman.
  • Collect useful things from each room. Collect diamonds and other things to build points. Be sure to collect elixirs, garlic, and the holy rood to defeat Dracula. Also collect colored keys to open locks.
  • Each room has a colored lock at each of its exits. (Some rooms may have more than one exit). You may only open a lock, and advance to the next room, if you currently have in your possession a previously collected matching colored key. For example, you may only open a red lock with a red key. (Once a lock is unlocked, it remains unlocked for the entire game. Also, each key can only be used one time).
  • As you play, look at the bottom of the game screen. Here you will find specific information. You can see how many red, blue, and green keys you currently have in your possession. You can see how many red, blue, and green elixirs you have collected. There are 35 of each. You can also see how many garlics you have collected. There are a possible 220 garlics to collect.
  • You can always go back and reenter a room to collect more items.
  • Pac Adventure Dracula's Castle does not use a game clock. So, you can take your time and explore each room thoroughly.
  • Pacman begins the game with 5 lives. (Each life is represented by the 5 red hearts at the upper right corner of the game screen).
  • Each time Pacman runs into a baddie, or anything else that harms him, he loses one life and one of his red hearts will go dim.
  • The game ends, and you lose, when Pacman loses all of his lives.
  • How do you win? To be perfectly honest, I do not know the answer to that rather significant question. My gaming skills are somewhat limited. So, I can only get through a few rooms. I have no idea how many rooms there are or how the game actually ends. This is just a guess on my part, but I would think at the end of the game perhaps there is a final confrontation with Dracula himself? Again, this is pure speculation on my part. I certainly wish I knew how the game ends so I could clue you in. Perhaps somebody can get to the end, and let everyone know how they did it, and how the game ends, by posting a comment in the box below?
  • If you just finished a game and want to begin a new game, it is important that you first refresh the page. If you do not refresh the page, certain elements of the game will not load probably. After refreshing the page, click the 'New Game' button to begin a new game.
  • This game does not save automatically. You will have to manually save it. To save your game, first click the wrench tool (lower right) and then click 'Save Game'. When you wish to resume your game, come back to Richard's Game Reviews and click the 'Load Game' button. Then select your saved game from the list of saved games. (If you have saved more than one game, all of the games you have previously saved will be listed. Even the games you have lost. You may have to use the up and down arrows on the Load Game box to scroll through the list to find your latest game. Each saved game has its own date and time, so this should not be difficult). I am certain, although I have not personally verified this, that you will need to be on the same computer to resume your game. And, as I always say in these types of situations, I cannot make any personal guarantee that your game will save properly, but hopefully it will.
  • There is one more thing I would like to mention, and that is this. When I play Pac Adventure Dracula's Castle on Internet Explorer I often have a lot of trouble getting Pacman to move with the arrow keys. Sometimes, he goes too fast and won't stop until he hits a wall. Sometimes, he goes too slow. And sometimes he gets stuck and will not move at all. I have also played the game on Google Chrome and Firefox and I have not had any of these types of problems whatsoever. Of course, I realize that this could simply be a problem with my own computer. There could be a lot of different reasons for this, and hopefully you will not have problems playing this game on Internet Explorer. But, I still feel obligated to mention my own experience.

Pac Adventure Dracula's Castle Game Options:
  • Click the wrench tool (lower right) to adjust the music and sound volume.

Pac Adventure Dracula's Castle Playing Tips:
  • Exit each level slowly. This will allow you to enter the next level slowly. If you enter a level too fast, many times you will run right into a baddie. So, be careful.
  • Sometimes Pacman has to push objects, such as crates, out of his way so he can get to an area where he needs to get to.
  • Make sure you collect all of the colored keys. Look carefully. Sometimes keys can be tucked away in obscure places. So, you may not see them at first glance. Keys are important because you need them to unlock exits, and get to the next room.
  • This is a game that you need to play over and over. Each time you play it, you will find out new information and gain more experience that will help you the next time you play.

Comments: From what I have been able to tell, so far, this game looks rather fun. It would have been nice, perhaps, if the game came with a few more instructions. However, as with many adventure games, it is up to each player to discover how the game is played. I guess that is why they call it an adventure, isn't it?

Parking Zone

Game Description: Try to move each car into its matching color parking space. Can you make it through 40 challenging levels?

How to Play Parking Zone:
  • There are 5 cars. Each car is a different color.
  • There are 6 parking spaces. Each car has its own matching color parking space, plus there is one additional parking space that has no color on its outer ring.
  • Each parking space can only be occupied by one car at a time.
  • A car can only move into an unoccupied space when it has a piece of road that leads directly to the empty space.
  • Move each car by clicking on it with your left mouse button.
  • Your goal is to move each car into its matching color parking space in as few moves as possible.
  • The fewer moves you use, the more points you score!
  • Although your goal is to use the fewest moves possible, you can keep trying until you succeed. You have an unlimited amount of moves available.
  • You may click the 'reset' button to move the cars back to their original positon on any level. However, this does not wipe out the moves you have already made. Those moves still count on your score, and will not be erased by clicking reset.
  • There is no time limit. As a matter of fact, Parking Zone does not even use a clock. So, there is no hurry. You may take as long as you wish.
  • The 'give up' button does not seem to function. As far as I can tell, it does not seem to do anything.
  • When you get all 5 cars into their matching color parking spaces, you go on to the next level of play.
  • There are 40 levels.

Parking Zone Game Options:
  • The 'show animation' button, located in the lower left corner may be turned on or off. (As long as the game works okay, there is really no reason to turn the animation off).

Parking Zone Playing Tips:
  • This game is challenging enough that I suggest you simply ignore the scoring. Just play it casually and simply try to make it through to the next level. I think if you take my suggestion and forget about the scoring, chances are, you will relax and have a lot more fun.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Parking Zone starts out rather easy but gets more difficult as you go along. I found levels 25, 27, and 29 particularly hard. If you like a game that is challenging, but certainly solvable, Parking Zone is a game you should enjoy.

Con: After you finish board 40, the game does show board 41. However, there are no roads for board 41 and the cars are no longer clickable. So, I can only conclude that there actually is no board 41. Board 41 is simply a picture. Unfortunately, this is a somewhat disappointing and rather anticlimactic way to end such a fine game.

Text Mate

Game Description: How many words do you really know? Try and complete these words given just a few letters. Any word that matches will work - but answer quickly or your time will run out.

How to Play Text Mate: Text Mate has two different games you can play: 'Rapid Fire Mode' or 'Puzzler Mode'.

How to Play Text Mate 'Rapid Fire Mode':
  • Select 'Rapid Fire Mode'.
  • You begin the game with 2 minutes on the clock.
  • For each word, you will be given the first 3 letters.
  • Use your keyboard to type in the remaining letters. (If you do not know how to touch-type, you can use your mouse to click on each letter from the letter board but you will be at a considerable disadvantage).
  • Use your 'Backspace' key to remove the last letter inserted.
  • Try to spell any acceptable word.
  • You may use the same word more than once.
  • When you are playing the 'Rapid Fire Mode', Text Mate will show you how many possible word matches there are based on the letters currently on the board. For instance, if you see Matches: l, you know that there is only one possible acceptable word. If you see Matches: 27, you know that there are 27 possible acceptable words. The possible matches change with each letter you insert. So, watch this carefully. If you see Matches: 0, you will need to use your 'Backspace' key to remove at least one letter because, obviously, you have made a mistake.
  • When you successfully spell an acceptable word, the letters you inserted will turn orange to match the first 3 given letters... and it is on to the next word.
  • For each successful word you spell you will earn points, and time is added to the clock.
  • The game ends when you run out of time!

How to Play Text Mate 'Puzzler Mode':
  • Select 'Puzzler Mode'.
  • When you successfully spell an acceptable word, the letters you inserted will turn orange to match the first 3 given letters... and it is on to the next word.
  • You get 20 seconds to solve each word.
  • Your goal is to solve as many words as you can.
  • The game ends when you run out of time!

Text Mate Playing Tips:
  • If you know how to touch-type, definitely use your keyboard. It is much faster than trying to search for letters on the letter board, and then have to click each letter individually with your mouse.
  • Use plurals. For instance, is you are given the first 3 letters of CAB, and the word is six letters long, you could use the word CABINS. It is usually easier to think of a five lettered word and add an 'S', rather than coming up with a six letter word without the 'S'.
  • Use suffixes such as 'ED', and 'ING'. Just like adding an 'S' to make a word plural, adding suffixes to the end of words makes it much easier to form those longer words.
  • Use the same word more than once when you can. For instance, I have noticed that I am often given the first 3 letters of EXH for a seven letter word. I always use the word EXHALES. Why? Because I know it will work. So, why bother coming up with a different answer?

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Text Mate is a lively and fun word game. Yes, it is perhaps a bit on the easy side. But, eventually you will get tripped up with a word you don't know.

Con: The only complaint I have about Text Mate, is that sometimes you will get a repeat word. That kind of puts a little damper on things. But, other than that, you should find the game a pleasure to play.
