The Queen's Jewels

Game Description: Power up the center jewel, by lining up 3 or more gems of the same color, before the time runs out.

How to Play The Queen's Jewels:
  • Type a name in the space provided.
  • Click 'Play'.
  • You may wish to view the brief built-in game tutorial if this is your first time playing. Or, just click the 'Start Game' button at the bottom of the game screen to begin play immediately.
  • Click and drag a gem one space at a time clockwise or counter-clockwise to line up three or more gems of the same color.
  • You can also line up three or more gems by moving a column toward or away from the center jewel.
  • Matching rows of gems earns you points that power up the center jewel. When it is completely powered up, you advance to the next level.
  • If you need help to make another move, you can click the center jewel to reshuffle the gems, but this drains some of the center jewel's power.
  • Your game is timed by a string of pearls that disappear one by one. If they run out before you complete a level, the game is over.

The Queen's Jewels Game Options: All of the game options are located at the bottom of the game screen. The options are:
  • Click the 'Pause' button to pause the game. Click 'Resume' to continue.
  • Click the 'Help' button to review the built-in game tutorial. Click the 'Resume Game' button to continue playing.
  • The sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the 'Sound Off/On' button.

The Queen's Jewels Playing Tips:
  • Look for matches of more than three. These will earn you extra points and allow you to power up the center jewel faster.
  • Try to make muliple matches with a single move when possible. This will earn you more points to power up the center jewel.
  • Don't ignore the innermost circle of gems. Because these gems are smaller you may have a tendency to overlook them. You really can't afford to do that. You need all of the matches you can make. (Hint: If you have difficulity seeing the intermost circle of gems, try changing the zoom level on your computer. I have a 17" monitor, and changing my zoom level to 150% works great for me. Or even better than that, try playing The Queen's Jewels in full screen mode).

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: The Queen's Jewels is unlike any other game I currently have here on Richard's Game Reviews. It is similar to a traditional Match 3 game, but the way you make matches is completely different. The graphics and sounds are outstanding! Anyone, whether you are a Match 3 fan or not, should enjoy this unique and challenging game.

Con: It would have been nice if The Queen's Jewels gave you at least 3 lives per game. Maybe even 3 lives per level. The game is certainly challenging enough to warrant some extra chances.

Turkey Shooter 3D

Game Description: Have fun shooting some turkeys!

How to Play Turkey Shooter 3D:
  • Click 'Play'.
  • Click 'Start Game'.
  • Click 'Proceed'.
  • Click 'Proceed' again.
  • Click 'Hell Yeah'.
  • Use your arrow keys to find turkeys.
  • Each time you click the Up arrow you zoom in, but you get a narrower view.
  • Each time you click the Down arrow you zoom out, but you get a wider view.
  • Click the left arrow to scroll left.
  • Click the right arrow to scroll right.
  • Move your mouse to position the cross hair on a turkey.
  • When you have a turkey within the cross hair click your left mouse button to shoot.
  • The number of turkeys you have left to shoot for each level are displayed at the upper left corner of the game screen. Shoot all turkeys to advance to the next level.
  • The number of shots you have missed in a row are displayed at the upper right corner of the game screen. Be careful! If you miss 5 shots in a row... it's game over.
  • Turkey Shooter 3D has 8 levels of play.

Turkey Shooter 3D Playing Tips:
  • Sometimes the turkeys will hide behind trees, bushes, or rocks. Be patient. Wait until you can get a clear shot.
  • Use your 4 arrow keys to get the best shot possible. With a little practice, you will be able to zoom behind the trees, bushes, and rocks.
  • When zooming in or out it is not necessary to use individual clicks. To zoom in or out faster, press and hold down the up or down arrow key until you reach your desired zoom. Then release.
  • Sometimes you will hear a turkey before you will see it. Know that when you hear a turkey, there is one nearby.
Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: The best feature of Turkey Shooter 3D is the arrow keys. It is so fun to zoom in and zoom out. The 3D effect is nice, and the sounds are quite good. Even though it is rather easy to get through all 8 levels, Turkey Shooter 3D is still quite a fun game to play.

Con: Turkey Shooter 3D would have been more exciting if each level had a time limit of, say, 60 or 90 seconds.

Other Games: If you like Turkey Shooter 3D you may also enjoy playing these other Shooting Games.

GardenScapes

Game Description: Create the perfect garden! Comb the rooms of a gorgeous mansion for hidden items and restore a once stunning garden to its former glory. Choose from a variety of garden accessories to customize the garden to your taste. No worries if you are a garden design novice - an amusing and witty butler, Austin, will always be of assistance. Become an outdoor décor pro in this cutting hedge game!

How to Play GardenScapes: I am just going to go over some of the basic things you need to know to get you started. You will have fun figuring out the rest on your own! (There will be some surprises along the way. I haven't figured all of them out yet myself). There is also an animated butler, named Austin, who will help you along the way.
  • You begin the game with $750. This is enough money to buy your first garden accessory. You may buy either the White Picket Fence for $550, or the Wrought Iron Fence for $650. (You may also save your $750 for something else later).
  • To earn more money to buy garden accessories, click the 'Start' button in the lower right corner of the game screen. This allows you to play your first hidden object game where you can earn more money for your garden.
  • The hidden objects you can find will be listed on the left side of the game screen.
  • Each hidden object has a dollar amount that you can earn.
  • When you click on a hidden object, the object will float to the left side of the game screen. It will then disappear and be replaced with gold coins.
  • To earn the money for your account, you must now click on the gold coins.
  • Once you click on the gold coins the money will be deposited into your account at the bottom, and a new hidden object will appear on the left side of the screen to take its place.
  • Continue clicking on hidden objects. And don't forget to click on the gold coins to deposit the money into your account.
  • Earn as much money as you can before the time runs out.
  • There are also usually a few gold coins scattered around the room itself. Always click on these coins to earn extra money.
  • Sometimes a hidden object will consist of more than one object. For example, you may be asked to find 3 phones. In that instance you must find all 3 phones to earn the gold coins.
  • When the time is up, click where it says 'Click to continue' to go back to the main garden screen. You may now buy garden accessories by buying items from the Design tab. Mouse over each item to see how much it costs.
  • Any money not spent will carry over to the next round.
  • If you don't have enough money to buy that special item you want... no problem. Remember, you can always earn more money by clicking the 'Start' button and playing the next hidden object game.
  • At certain intervals the game will ask if you would like to purchase the full version. To continue playing the free version here on Richard's Game Reviews just click the 'Continue' button and continue your game.
  • The free version of GardenScapes has 7 levels of play. There is no way to save your game progress with the free version. It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete all 7 levels.

GardenScapes Game Options:
  • You may pause the game by clicking the 'Menu' button. To continue, click 'Resume'.
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the Sound On/Off button. You can access this button by first clicking the 'Menu' button.
  • If you would like to pause the game and just enjoy the garden view click the little eye icon located in the upper left corner of the main garden screen. To continue, click anywhere within the game screen.

GardenScapes Playing Tips:
  • The Hint button is located at the lower right corner of each room. When you click the Hint button a picture of each hidden object that you are currently looking for will appear under each text description. (Before you click the Hint button make sure that there are no undepoisted gold coins on the left side of the screen for your found objects. Because if there are, you will not get a picture hint for that square).
  • If you see something that looks like a 'question mark' click on it. This can earn you an extra hint!
  • Sometimes it can be a good idea just to click randomly. You may accidently find a hidden object, or find something even better.
  • Don't forget to search around the edges of each room. Sometimes hidden objects will be there too.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: GardenScapes is quite fun. The graphics are outstanding! If you enjoy hidden object games, you should really like this one.

Con: I have, of course, the free version of GardenScapes here on Richard's Game Reviews. The free version has only 7 levels of play. It would have been nice if the free version had a few more levels to enjoy.

IncaBall

Game Description: Destroy the balls by getting 3 or more of the same color in a row. Don't let them reach the skull!

How to Play IncaBall:
  • Slide the pad back and forth with your mouse along the bottom of the game screen.
  • Click the left mouse button to shoot the colored ball from the pad.
  • Your goal is to create matches of 3 or more balls of the same color to destroy them. Make sure to stop the balls before they reach the skull!
  • Destroy all balls to reach the next level. (You must do this several times, on each level, before you may advance.)
  • You begin the game with 3 lives.
  • Lose 1 life each time you fail to stop the balls from reaching the skull.
  • There are 28 fun-filled levels of play.
  • After completing some levels, the game will ask if you want to download a full version of the game. If you wish to play for free, just click Continue, and play for free here on Richard's Game Reviews.
  • I am not sure, but I think it may be possible to save a game in progress, if you use the same computer and come back here to Richard's Game Reviews. I have tried this a couple of times after publishing the game, and my game automatically saved each time. But, I am not completely sure this will always work. But, hopefully your game will save too.

IncaBall Game Options:
  • To pause the game, click the Menu button located at the upper right corner of the game screen. To continue your game, click Resume.
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the Sound On/Off button. This button is accessed by clicking the Menu button located at the upper right corner of the game screen.

IncaBall Playing Tips:
  • Make sure your mouse cursor remains within the game screen. If your cursor goes off of the game screen you will be unable to shoot your ball.
  • IncaBall will always show you the next available ball. (You will see the next ball displayed at the bottom of the game screen). Pay attention to this. Knowing what ball comes next can help you plan your next shot.
  • Watch for multicolored balls. A multicolored ball can destroy balls of more than one color.
  • Sometimes the ball in the pad does not have a clear shot at two adjoining balls of the same color. There are four things you can do. One option would be to wait until you do have a clear shot. (Only use this option if the wait will be very short). A second option would be to fire at a ball of the same color. Now you have two adjoining balls for that color. The next time this colored ball appears in the pad you may be able to shoot this group of two. A third option exists if you have a clear path to the top of the game screen without any balls blocking your way to the top. In that case, simply slide the pad and fire toward the top of the game screen. The ball will exit through the top of the game screen and not add to the number of balls that you need to destroy. Finally, a fourth option, which is sometimes available, would be not to fire the ball currently in the pad, but instead, to swap it with the next available ball. To make this swap, click the next available ball displayed at the bottom of the game screen. (This swap is only possible if the two balls are different colors. If the two balls are the same color no swap is possible. You will have to fire the current ball in the pad before you can get to the next ball).
  • Look for combinations. For instance, if you have the following sequence of balls: yellow, yellow, blue, blue, yellow, and yellow; you could fire a blue ball at the two adjoining blue balls and all 6 balls will be destroyed! (Your shot would take out the 2 blue balls because the blue ball you fired from the pad creates a match of 3 blue balls. And, the 2 yellow balls to the left of the 2 blue balls, would join with the 2 yellow balls to the right, forming a combination of 4 yellow balls). Once you become a little bit experienced with IncaBall you will easily learn how to recognize these combinations.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: IncaBall is pure fun!

Con: Although I believe this is a very rare occurrence, sometimes the game will freeze and you must helplessly watch as the balls advance into the skull. I tested this game for a couple of hours just to see if I could make it all the way through all 28 levels and the game did freeze on me on level 23. I don't think this happens very often... but just beware!

Other Games: If you like IncaBall, you may also enjoy playing Chinese Gem Quest.

Pac Man Advanced

Game Description: Play Pacman with a variety of mazes.

How to Play Pac Man Advanced:
  • Use your 4 arrow keys to control Pacman.
  • You begin the game with 3 lives.
  • When the ghosts eat Pacman you lose a life.
  • When Pacman eats the red food, then Pacman can temporarily eat the ghosts instead of the ghosts eating him!
  • Gobble up all of the yellow dots, and eat all of the red food, in the maze to advance to the next level.
  • The game ends when you lose your last life.

Pac Man Advanced Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located in the upper right corner of the game screen.

Pac Man Advanced Playing Tips:
  • Plan when to eat the red food. Then, chase the ghosts.
  • Watch out for dead ends in the maze. Try to enter a dead end only when you think you have enough time to safely exit.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: What I enjoy about Pac Man Advanced is that each time the game reloads you get different mazes. So you are not simply playing the same mazes over and over again. Many of the mazes have dead ends which keeps things interesting and provides a nice challenge.

Other Games: If you like Pac Man Advanced, you may also like to play Pacman, and Ms. Pacman.

Fort

Game Description: You have found the treasure in the middle of the ocean... in the heart of the old FORT. But before you pick up your treasures, you will have to destroy pirate ships who want to take your treasure. Do not let the pirates destroy the fort and take your treasures!

How to Play Fort:
  • Click the start button. On the next game screen, click Close.
  • Use your left mouse button to click on 2 adjacent objects that are in the same row or same column to attempt to swap their positions. (You may also attempt to swap their positons by dragging with your mouse).
  • The objects will only swap if there is a resulting match of 3 or more identical objects in-a-row.
  • On each level pirate ships will fire on your fort to try to destroy it.
  • You fire back at the pirate ships by making matches of 3 or more bombs.
  • Destroy all pirate ships before they destroy your fort to advance to the next level. (Each pirate ship has a red damage meter next to it. When this damage meter gets down to zero the ship is destroyed and will disappear from the game screen.)
  • Carefully watch the Damage meter on the left. This meter shows how much damage your fort has sustained. If it gets down to zero before you are able to destroy all pirate ships you lose... and the game is over!
  • Once the game ends, there seems to be no button that allows you to replay the game. At least none that I can find. So, you will need to refresh the page to play again.

Fort Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the musical note icon located on the left side of the game screen (just to the left of first game piece in the upper left corner of the board.)
  • The game may be paused at any time by clicking the Pause button.

Fort Playing Tips:
  • If you get stuck for a period of time, Fort will show you a random move by blinking two objects that are eligible for swapping. However, keep in mind this is just a random move. There could be other moves that are better.
  • Also, when you get stuck and absolutely cannot find a move, you can click the Pause button. When the game is paused you can still clearly see the game pieces even though they are dimmed. Take a little time to study the board. Another advantage is Fort will always, or almost always, show you an eligible move during the game pause. (Sometimes this may take a few seconds).
  • If you encounter a situation where there are no more moves remaining, Fort will let you know and immediately reset the board. Then, just continue play as usual.
  • Use strategy. Sometimes you will have to make matches of objects other than a bomb in order to move the bomb close enough, so you can then match that bomb with 2 other bombs.
  • Once you get to level 3 there will be two types of daggers. Some daggers have a design on their blades. Other daggers have a plain blade with no marking. Pay close attention to this because you can only make matches with identical daggers.
  • As you progress in the game you will find some objects are single-locked or double-locked. Locked pieces can only be unlocked if you can line up the locked object with two other identical unlocked objects to make a match of 3 or more. For a single-locked object only one such match is required to remove the lock. For a double-locked object the first such match will remove the first lock. A second such match will be required to remove the second lock. Once an object is completly unlocked it can be matched like any other object. The reason to unlock a bomb is obvious... so you can use it! But, perhaps a more important reason to unlock as many objects as you can is this. Locked objects clog up the board and it becomes harder and harder to get bomb matches. So, try to unlock as many objects as you can. But remember your main objective is to destroy the enemy pirate ships before they destroy your fort. You can win a level when locked objects remain locked. But unlocking them makes your task much easier. This is especially true on the higher levels where you will encounter many more single and double locked objects.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: If you are an experienced Match 3 player, you will find the lower levels rather easy. Just consider these a warm-up for the higher levels... where you will be challenged! If you are brand new to Match 3 play, you will probably find even the first level a challenge until you gain a bit of experience. Although the graphics are only average, at best, I still think that Fort is a nice game to play.

Shoot 15

Game Description: How quick are you? Shoot 15 plates and don't miss 10! Good luck!

How to Play Shoot 15:
  • Click the Start button.
  • Use your mouse to shoot the plates. (To shoot a plate, quickly move your mouse to get the plate within the cross hair. At the instant the plate is within the cross hair, click your left mouse button to shoot.)
  • You may fire multiple shots at each plate.
  • Shoot down 15 plates to win the game!
  • If you miss 10 plates you will lose the game.

Shoot 15 Playing Tips:
  • It may take you a few minutes to get used to the rhythm of Shoot 15. I know it took me about 5 minutes to get used to the speed before I felt comfortable.
  • As the plates fly to the top they get smaller and smaller. So, it is easier to shoot the plates when they are near the bottom or the middle because you have a bigger target to hit.
  • Shoot at each plate multiple times. Take as many shots as you can.
  • A good technique can be to position the cross hair ahead of the plate. Then fire multiple shots as the plate comes to the cross hair.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: The graphics and sound effects for Shoot 15 are outstanding!

Sudoku Eastern Wisdom

Game Description: Play the classic game of sudoku.

How to Play Sudoku Eastern Wisdom:
  • Select your level of difficulty: easy, medium, or hard.
  • The goal in sudoku is to place numbers on the board so that all rows, columns, and colored 3x3 sections contain the numbers 1 to 9 with no repetition.
  • Each game begins with some numbers already in place (the black numbers).
  • Black numbers cannot be changed.
  • Fill all of the remaining squares with a colored number from 1 to 9.
  • To fill a square with a number, click on the square. Then from the pop up menu, click on the number you wish to insert.
  • If you previously have inserted a colored number in a square and you want to change that number, but you are currently undecided about which number you want, you can return the square back to blank until you are ready to decide. To do this, click on the square. Then click the blank square from the pop up menu.
  • Should you repeat a number in any row, column, or colored 3x3 section Sudoku Eastern Wisdom will alert you by placing a large red 'X' on all squares where you have a repetition. This means you will have to make changes to one or more of your colored numbers.
  • Colored numbers can be changed as many times as you need until you solve sudoku.

Sudoku Eastern Wisdom Game Options:
  • The background music may be turned on or off by clicking the sound button located at the lower right corner of the game screen.
  • You can change the game screen background anytime by clicking any of the 5 scene buttons located at the bottom of the game screen.
  • If you want to take a break, click the 'pause' button located at the top of the game screen. Read the words of 'Eastern wisdom.' Click 'play' when you are ready to resume the game.
  • If you want to quit the game, click the 'return' button located at the top right corner of the game screen. Then click 'yes'. This will return you to the main menu where you may begin a new game.

Sudoku Eastern Wisdom Playing Tips:
  • If you are new to sudoku, begin with the easy level. If you are an experienced sudoku player, play either the medium or hard levels for a greater challenge.
  • It is easier to start filling in the board from rows, columns, and 3x3 sections where the maximum numbers are already known.
  • When deciding what number should go in a square, you must check to see what other numbers are already in that square's row, column, and 3x3 section. It is best if you can be 100% certain of your decision before you insert a number into a square. Sometimes, you may have to take an 'educated guess' when you may be only 75% to 80% sure. But, of course, there would still be that 20 to 25 percent chance that you could be wrong!
  • Remember, just because you do not initally get a red 'X' after inserting a number, this does not necessarily mean you are right. You can still get a red 'X' on that square as you insert more numbers on the board.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Pro: I have been looking for a good sudoku game to bring to Richard's Game Reviews for quite some time. Sudoku fans rejoice. The search is over! Sudoku Eastern Wisdom has everything I wanted... and more. The numbers are large and easy to read. The graphics are clever. The 5 backgrounds are beautiful. If you are already a sudoku fan, or would like to learn the game, you will definitely enjoy Sudoku Eastern Wisdom.

Hidden Objects Room 2

Hidden Objects Room 2
Game Description: In Hidden Objects Room 2 there are four rooms with hidden objects. Each room has ten hidden objects, so there are a total of forty hidden items in all. Score 100 points for each hidden object you find and click. But be careful, because you will lose 30 points each time you click anywhere other than on a hidden object. Points will also be deducted for time taken after you finish the game. So the less time you take, the higher you will score. Good luck!

How to Play Hidden Objects Room 2:
  • Click the 'Play' button.
  • Use your mouse to click on the hidden objects.
  • The objects you need to find are listed at the bottom of the game screen.
  • Each time you successfully find a hidden object it will disappear from the screen.
  • Find all 10 objects to advance to the next level.
  • There are 4 levels of play.

Hidden Objects Room 2 Scoring:
  • Earn 100 points each time you click on a hidden object.
  • Lose 30 points each time you click anywhere other than a hidden object.
  • A perfect score would theoretically be 4,000 points. 4,000 points, however, is impossible to achieve because Hidden Objects Room 2 always deducts points for time taken. So even if you do manage to find all 40 objects without making a mistake, you still will be unable to score a perfect 4,000 points. (In fact, if you take a look at the leaderboard below you will see, at least at the time I published this, that the highest score so far is 3,985 points. And that awesome score has only been achieved two times). Remember, the less time you take to complete the entire game, the fewer points you will lose. So the idea is to find all 40 hidden objects as fast as you can, while making as few mistakes as possible to achieve the highest score you can.

Play Hidden Objects Room 2 on Full Screen

Please Note: Before playing Hidden Objects Room 2 in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page.

Hidden Objects Room 2 Game Options:
  • The music may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the bottom right corner of the game screen.

Hidden Objects Room 2 Playing Tips:
  • Do play Hidden Objects Room 2 on full screen. It will be much easier to find some of the smaller objects.

Hidden Objects Room 2 Walkthrough:
  • If you would like to see the solution to all four levels, here is the Hidden Objects Room 2 video walkthrough from YouTube. This video plays extremely fast. So if you would prefer to see still pictures of each level solution, I have created my own original pictures that you may see here.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: This is certainly one of the easier hidden object games you will find. All of the objects are large enough to easily be seen. Some are in plain sight. Others are camouflaged by color. A nice mix! Even after you finally do figure out where all 40 hidden objects are located the game can still continue to be fun, because the challenge now becomes to see how quickly you can find and click on all of the 40 hidden objects without making a single mistake and try to see how high you can score on the Hidden Objects Room 2 leaderboard.

ZnemChess

Game Description: Play chess against the computer.

How to Play ZnemChess:
  • You have the White pieces at the bottom. White moves first.
  • The computer has the Black pieces.
  • To begin your turn, click on the square of the chess piece you want to move. (Do not click on the piece itself, or nothing will happen. Click on it's square).
  • Once you click on a square of any White chess piece, the board will light up. The square that you clicked will light up and all of the possible squares to where the piece may be moved will also light up showing an orange border around them. (If you click on the square of one of your White pieces that is ineligible to move only it's square will light up. No other squares will light up. That is, no squares with an orange border will light up because the piece has nowhere to move).
  • If you change your mind you may click on a different chess square. Otherwise, complete your turn by clicking on any lighted square that has an orange border. (If a chess piece occupies the square to which you want to move, do not click on the chess piece itself because nothing will happen. Click on it's square).
  • You and the computer take turns until someone wins, or the game ends in a draw.
  • Standard chess rules apply. However, ZnemChess does not recognize the en passant capture by a pawn.
  • ZnemChess does allow you to castle but only on the King's side. It does not seem to recognize castling on the Queen's side. Also, when you click on the King's square to castle on the King's side, the actual space to which the King will move in castling does not light up. Instead the Rook's square lights up. To complete the castling move on the King's side, click on the Rook's square and the King will move to the square next to the rook's square as it should.

Play on Full Screen

Please Note: Before playing ZnemChess in Full Screen mode, you may want to take a moment, or two, to read my review. Then, after playing your game, simply click the back button on your browser to return to this page.

ZnemChess Playing Tips:
  • ZnemChess can move it's pieces very quickly. So quickly, in fact, you sometimes may not be able to see the piece move. So, to verify that ZnemChess has actually made it's move and it is your turn again, click on the square of one of your White chess pieces. If the board lights up, you will know it is your turn to move again.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: ZnemChess is a fun chess game to play. It is smart enough to recognize and capitalize on a major blunder.

Con: ZnemChess is rather easy to beat. Too easy in my opinion. The game has absolutely no sound at all. And it would have been nice if the game displayed each players' moves in a side panel and also displayed the captured pieces like Flash Chess 3 does.

Please Note: I apologize if the 5 Spots game is not working. I checked at several other websites, and the same thing is happening there too. The problem with the game is internal, so as a game publisher, there is really nothing I can do. I am going to leave the game up, and hopefully it will begin to work as it should at some point. In the meantime, please check out some of the other games I have on my site.

Game Description: There are two pictures with 5 differences. Find the 5 differences before the time runs out.

How to Play 5 Spots:
  • Click the Start button.
  • Find the 5 things that are different between the two pictures.
  • Move your mouse and click on the spot where things are different. (For each difference you find, you only need to click on one of the pictures - either the left or right picture, but not both).
  • Click on all 5 differences before time runs out to advance to the next level.
  • There are 15 pictures used in the game. The differences are selected at random. So it's never the same game twice!

5 Spots Playing Tips:
  • If time starts to run out and you get stuck, just start clicking at random... you may get lucky!

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: 5 Spots is fun and quite challenging.

Con: There seems to be no way to control the game sounds, so you will have to adjust your computer speakers.

  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the bottom of the game screen.

Comments: Parking Space is quite fun once you get the hang of it. I am so glad that real driving is easier than this game, because I wouldn't be able to afford auto insurance!

Oil Worm

Game Description: Guide your Oil Worm over the hills and through the scary forest.

How to Play Oil Worm:
  • The game instructions are available in English and one other language. I apologize for not knowing what the second language is.
  • If you speak English, click the 'English' button to go to the next game screen.
  • If this is your first time playing Oil Worm, click the 'New Game' button to begin.
  • If you have played Oil Worm before here on Richard's Game Reviews, and you have a saved game, you may continue playing your saved game by clicking the 'Continue' button, or you may begin a new game by clicking the 'Clear Data' button located at the lower left corner of the game screen.
  • Like all worms your Oil Worm will crawl on the ground most of the time. Crawling is automatic. The only movement you control is when to make your Oil Worm jump.
  • There are two ways to make your worm jump: You can use your Up arrow. Or, you can click your left mouse button as long as your mouse pointer remains within the game screen.
  • Your goal is to guide your oil worm through the forest while collecting stars and avoiding obstacles.
  • The obstacles to avoid are: falling into an orange abyss, running into fire, and running into a ghost.
  • You must jump over each orange abyss and each fire.
  • To avoid the ghosts you can either jump over them, or since they float, you can sometimes go under them. You will encounter the ghosts on levels 6 and 7.
  • Each time you fail to avoid an obstacle you lose oil from your oil can.
  • You will add oil to your oil can when your worm runs into one of the small oil cans scattered throughout the game.
  • Oil will also be added to your can when you successfully complete each level.
  • Watch your oil can level displayed at the upper left corner of the game screen. If your oil can runs dry... the game ends! As long as you have oil remaining in your can the game continues.
  • Earn 2 points for collecting silver stars. Earn 5 points for collecting gold stars.
  • Earn bonus points for completing a level quickly.
  • Earn enough points to reach the next level before you run out of oil.
  • Oil Worm has 7 fun levels of play.
  • After you finish a level you may click the 'Quit' button to save your Oil Worm game. Then, later when you come back to Richard's Game Reviews, just click the 'Continue' button to resume your saved game.

Oil Worm Game Options:
  • The game sounds may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the upper right corner of the game screen.
  • You may pause the game by clicking the pause button located near the upper right corner of the game screen, just to the left of the microphone icon.

Oil Worm Playing Tips:
  • When you see a bubble try to land on it. Your worm will bounce from bubble to bubble and will not fall into the abyss. This is especially important when there is a very wide abyss. The only thing you need to do is land on that first bubble. The rest of the bounces will happen automatically.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: I really like Oil Worm. Yes, it is rather easy to get through all 7 levels. But, it is so fun watching that worm bounce on those bubbles!

Word Search

Game Description: Play the classic game of word search.

How to Play Word Search:
  • There are 17 different word search puzzles for your solving pleasure.
  • Click the purple arrows on the top right of the game screen to select your puzzle category.
  • Once you find the puzzle you want to play, click the 'Click Here to Begin Game' button.
  • All of the words you need to find are listed on the right side of the game screen.
  • When you find a word, use your mouse to click and drag through the letters to clear the word from the word list.
  • The puzzle is completed once all words have been found!

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: I have been looking for a really good word search game to bring to Richard's Game Reviews for quite a while. What is so great about this particular word search game is this: Every time each puzzle loads you get a different scramble. So, you always get a different puzzle. Outstanding!
