Crystal Spider Solitaire

Game Description: Prepare to take on the fearsome might of Crystal Spider Solitaire! Hone your card skills with the one-suit Casual version. Practice your techniques on the two-suit Regular version. And prepare to take on what is possibly the toughest solitaire game in the world - the full four-suit Expert mode!

How to Play Crystal Spider Solitaire:
  • Select from 3 difficulty levels: Casual (one-suit), Regular (two-suits), or Expert (four-suits).
  • Crystal Spider Solitaire is played with two decks of cards. You'll always use 104 cards.
  • When you begin a new game 54 cards are dealt to 10 stacks (44 cards are dealt face down, and 10 cards are dealt face up, one to each stack). The remaining 50 cards are placed in the deck in the lower-left corner of the game screen and are used to deal a new row of cards, 10 at a time.
  • To move a card, drag the card from one stack to another.
  • You can move a card from the bottom of a stack to an empty stack.
  • You can move a card from the bottom of a stack to a card with the next highest value, regardless of suit or color. For instance, any six may be moved on top of any seven. (Aces have the lowest value and may be moved on top of any deuce).
  • You can move a set of cards all of the same suit, and in descending numeric order, as if they were one card. For instance, if you have built a sequence consisting of the 8, 7, and 6 of spades these cards may be moved as if they were a single card.
  • When you have no plays left click the deck to deal another row of cards!
  • There must be at least one card in each stack before you can deal a new row of cards.
  • When you create a set of cards from king through ace, they will automatically move as one card to the bottom of the playing field in one of the 8 available spaces.
  • Your goal is to build all 8 stacks from King to Ace of the same suit to win!

Crystal Spider Solitaire Game Options: All game options are accessed by clicking the Menu button located at the upper-left corner of the game screen. Then, click the Options button. Each option has its own control. Game options are as follows:
  • The music may be turned on or off.
  • Sounds may be turned on or off.
  • Animate cards may be turned on or off.
  • There are 9 card styles you may choose: Spider, Pink Checks, Water Drops, Fish, Flowers, Purple Fractal, Yellow Fractal, Lake, or Tiger.
  • 3 different card layouts are available (though they are all pretty similar): Casual, Strict, or Scruffy.

Crystal Spider Solitaire Playing Tips:
  • Do play the game in Full Screen mode. You will simply have that much more fun.
  • If you are new to Spider Solitaire like I am, start at the Casual level. Later, when you develop your skills you can play at the Normal or Expert levels.
  • If you need extra help, turn the 'Show Help' button on, and Crystal Spider Solitaire will actually walk you through the first few moves of the game and explain some of the basic rules.
  • If you get stuck use the 'Hint' button, located at the top of the game screen, and Crystal Spider Solitaire will show you a move if one is available. (Each time you use the 'Hint' button, 10 points will be deducted from your score).
  • If you make a mistake, use the 'Undo' button which is also located at the top of the game screen. Frequent use of the 'Undo' button can really give you a big advantage, especially if you are still learning the game. So, use it often! You may also want to take a peek at a face down card. Then if you don't like the card, use the 'Undo' button. (You will lose points anytime you use 'Undo', but only advanced players should probably be concerned with their points anyway).
  • Crystal Spider Solitaire appears to use a rather complex scoring system, which, at the moment, I still do not fully understand. Unless you are an advanced player, it is probably best to ignore the scoring for now and just concentrate on winning each hand.
  • There seems to be no pause button, at least none that I can find. If you wish to pause the game (so you can try for those Bonus points for finishing a round early), you can simply click the 'Menu' button and this will effectively pause the game for you. Then, click the 'Continue Game' button to resume play.
  • Clear a stack right away. Get a stack open as soon as possible by turning over all of the cards in a stack, and try to play cards on the space you just opened. This will allow you to build the longest runs.
  • Try to uncover cards as soon as possible. Bring cards into play by clearing off the stacks and turning the lower cards over within the stacks. This opens up possibilities for you very quickly. If more cards are in play before you deal from the deck, you have more possibilities for runs, and fewer "missing" cards to stall your runs.
  • Don't block cards. When you play at more difficult settings, avoid placing lower cards on other cards of a different suit. That blocks them from play until the lower cards are moved.

Richard's Rating: 5 out of 5.

Comments: Crystal Spider Solitaire is an absolutely top-notch fun filled game. It is highly strategic, and extremely challenging, especially at the Expert level. If you like card games, this one is a definite winner!

Duck Hunter

Game Description: Take aim, and shoot down as many ducks as you can before time runs out.

How to Play Duck Hunter:
  • Quickly move your mouse to position the green cross hair on a duck.
  • Click your left mouse button to fire a bullet.
  • When you are out of bullets, click the 'Reload' button located at the bottom right corner of the game screen (or press your space bar).
  • Score 50 points for each duck you shoot.
  • The game ends when time expires.

Duck Hunter Playing Tips:
  • Shoot faster for better results. The more shots you fire, the more chances you have of hitting your target.
  • Larger ducks make easier targets.
  • Watch for situations when ducks flying in opposite directions come together. Fire lots of shots in that area.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: Duck Hunter is a fun fast paced game with outstanding sound effects.

Gutterball

Game Description: With a wacky announcer named Louie, who has lots of character and attitude, Gutterball adds an entirely new, and entertaining, dimension that other bowling games simply do not have. When you make a poor shot, Louie is sure to insult you. Make a good shot and he will praise you, but always in his own unique style. Just remember. Knock down the pins, but don't roll a gutterball!

How to Play Gutterball:
  • Click the 'Start' button.
  • On the next game screen, click the 'bowl!' button located at the lower right corner.
  • If there is more than one player, enter each players' name. Then, take turns bowling.
  • Position the ball - by moving your mouse left or right.
  • Grab the ball - click on the ball, and hold the mouse down.
  • Throw the ball - drag your mouse down, then up quickly and let go.
  • Steer the ball while the ball is rolling - move the mouse to the left or right side of the screen.
  • There are four different bowling balls available. You may switch balls before any shot.
  • When the game ends it will ask if you want to download the game. Should you wish only to play the game here on Richard's Game Reviews just click 'no thanks'. Then, close the next screen you will see (high scores.) Then, click the 'Start' button to play again.

Gutterball Game Options:
  • Click the 'Options' button located on the lower right of the game screen to control the sounds. There are four sound controls: comments, crowd, music, or effects. You may turn each control on or off by checking or unchecking each one.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: The best part about Gutterball is the ability to steer the ball, after you throw it, with subtle mouse movements left or right. Sort of picture it in your mind, if you were actually bowling, as that last twist and release of your fingers as you throw the ball. Of course in real bowling once you release the ball the only thing you can do is watch, and use body English. But in Gutterball, some of the best action takes place after you throw the ball! Another thing I really like about this game is the ability to change balls after every shot. Each ball has its own unique feel. The balls have different speeds and different spins, allowing each ball to react differently. And last, but certainly not least, with such an entertaining announcer like Louie, Gutterball is most definitely a very fun game to play!

Fisher Girl

Game Description: You are Fisher Girl. A shark has just taken your Fisher Boy. He cannot survive long in this water so you better rescue him fast.

How to Play Fisher Girl:
  • You begin the game with a Bronze rod, four small fishing lures, and 200 coins.
  • Cast your rod by holding down your left mouse button and then releasing it.
  • To cast further try to release your mouse right before the rod starts moving forward again.
  • To catch a fish you will have to dangle your lure in front of a fish before it will bite.
  • If you let your line float, it will float farther and farther to the bottom.
  • Reel your line back up by holding down your left mouse button.
  • You earn coins by catching fish and reeling them in.
  • There are four different types of lures. There are small, medium, and large lures. There are also bomb lures.
  • Four different rods are available. You already have the Bronze rod. You may also buy the Silver, Gold, and the Legendary rod.
  • You may only catch the right size fish with the right size lure. A small lure may only catch a small fish. A medium lure may only catch a medium fish. And a large lure may only catch a large fish. (A bomb lure may blow up any shark that is close enough by double clicking your mouse. Each bomb lure may only be used one time.)
  • If a fish that is too small for your lure bites your lure, you cannot reel in that fish but no harm is done.
  • If a fish that is too big for your lure bites your lure, you will lose your lure.
  • If a green sea turtle or a shark bites your lure you will also lose your lure.
  • If any creature, including a shark, bites a bomb lure you will not lose your bomb lure. A bomb lure is only used, and lost, when you double click.
  • You can buy lures and better rods by hitting the floating stores with your lure. Each floating store only sells one type of product. If you elect to purchase the item you may do so provided you have earned enough coins. If you do not have enough coins to buy the item, or if you do not want to buy the item, hit the cancel button.
  • While fishing you may change lures and rods by clicking the Inventory button located at the top of the game screen. To change lures click the Lures button. To change rods click the Rods button.
  • When you are able to cast far enough (you will probably need to use the Legendary rod with costs 8,000 coins) you will find Fisher Boy and you can rescue him with your lure.
  • The game is over either when you rescue Fisher Boy or when you run out of lures (you can't fish without a lure!)
  • You may save your game by clicking the Menu button, then click Save Game. As long as you use the same computer your game should save. Then, when you come back to Richard's Game Reviews click the Load Game button to resume your game.

Fisher Girl Game Options:
  • The music volume and the sound effect volume may be adjusted by clicking the Menu button at the top of the game screen. Then, click the Sound Options button and use the sliding scale to adjust each sound control.

Fisher Girl Playing Tips:
  • When your line first hits the water you will need to make a quick assessment of the situation. For instance if a fish that is too big for your lure, or a green sea turtle or shark, is getting too close you would begin reeling in fast. On the other hand you may want to let your line float slowly down and then dangle your lure is front of an appropriate size fish. It all depends on the situation.
  • Watch out for other fish as you are reeling a fish in. If other fish take a bite out of your fish you earn less coins.
  • As you buy better rods you will be able to cast farther from shore, and allow your line to sink deeper. You will learn where the various fish live, as well as the green sea turtles and the sharks.
  • You may buy a bomb lure for 1,000 coins. Double click on it when a shark gets close enough to kill a shark. You earn 1,000 coins for killing a shark. Unlike other lures a bomb lure may only be used once. You would not waste a bomb lure on a regular fish because you would not earn any coins. A bomb lure probably isn't worth the money since you can only use it one time. However, sometimes you can kill more than one shark with a bomb lure. Still, you are probably better off using your coins to buy better rods and lures.
  • I believe it is impossible to lose a rod while fishing. That being said, it is a waste of money to buy a rod you already have because you would never use it. For instance, if you already have a Silver rod you would not purchase a second Silver rod. Instead, save your coins to buy a better rod or to buy more lures.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Fisher Girl is surprisingly fun. The first time you play the game you won't know where things are and how things work and it will probably take you quite some time before you rescue Fisher Boy. After the first time it is much easier. You can play this game two ways. You can simply relax with it, and enjoy catching fish, knowing that eventually you will rescue Fisher Boy. Or, you can play for time and see how fast you can rescue Fisher Boy.

Con: Fisher Girl has mediocre graphics and sound effects. Still, despite these shortcomings, it is quite a fun game to play.

Frogger

Game Description: Play the classic game of Frogger.

How to Play Frogger:
  • You begin the game with 3 extra lives.
  • Use your 4 arrow keys to move Frogger.
  • You lose a life if your frog gets hit by a car, falls into the water, or if you run out of time.
  • Get frogs in all 5 holes to beat each level.

  • The game ends when you run out of lives!

Frogger Game Options:
  • The sound may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located at the lower right side of the game screen.
  • The game may be paused by clicking the Pause button also located at the lower right side of the game screen right next to the microphone icon.

Frogger Playing Tips:
  • Be careful. Each Frogger level gets more difficult because the highway becomes more and more congested with traffic.

Richard's Rating: 5 out of 5.

Comments: Great graphics! Great sound effects! Great fun! They don't call it a classic for nothing.

Other Games: If you like Frogger you may also like to try 3D Frogger.

Game Description: Select a horse and guide it to the winners circle in this fun steeplechase race!

How to Play Stay the Distance:
  • Click the Play button located at the bottom right corner of the game screen.
  • Use the forward and backward arrows at the bottom of the next game screen to examine the field of six horses.
  • When you see the horse you want, make your selection by clicking the Race button at the bottom right corner of the game screen.
  • Use your 4 arrow keys to direct your horse around the track.

  • The Ctrl key controls the whip. You are allowed 3 whips per race.

Stay the Distance Game Options:
  • The sound may be turned on or off by clicking the microphone icon located in the upper left corner of the game screen.

Stay the Distance Playing Tips:
  • You can always identify your horse by the spotlight beneath its feet.
  • The 3 bars located on the upper right corner of the game screen show the distance left, your energy level and the whips remaining.
  • Watch your energy - if you've got a horse with long odds you'll need to conserve it and attack the field near the very end!
  • Jumping is very important. If your horse falls, it will slow down.
  • Turning is also very important. Try not to turn too wide, or get too close to the rail.
  • Try not to get boxed in!

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: Stay the Distance is quite fun with nice sound effects and fairly good graphics. It is definitely a fun game to play.

Con: Occasionally your horse may become stuck on one of the rails and it can be very difficult, if not impossible, to dislodge it. This is certainly frustrating, but it does not happen all that often.

Jump Over

  • Receive bonus points when you solve a level quickly.
  • You do not necessarily have to play the levels in order. You may play any level you wish by clicking the blue arrows on the left and right side of the game screen.
  • A green checkmark means you have solved that level and have earned points.
  • You may replay a level you have already solved, as many times as you wish, to try to improve your score. If you solve the level faster you will earn more points. If you solve it slower you will not lose any points because Jump Over always uses your best score for each level.
  • Should you get stuck on a level, use the 'Reset' and 'Undo' buttons.

Jump Over Game Options:
  • You may change the ball color and the background color to your liking. First click the 'Menu' button. Then click the 'Change Theme' button.

Richard's Rating: 2 out of 5.

Comments: Jump Over starts out very easy but gets more difficult as you move up through the levels presenting a somewhat interesting challenge.

Rome Puzzle

Game Description: Create matches of three or more in a row by clicking on adjacent tiles to swap them. Use your gold to buy buildings and build the ancient city of Rome!

How to Play Rome Puzzle: Rome Puzzle has a lot of different elements to it and I am not going to attempt to try to explain them all here. It isn't important, or necessary, for you to know every detail. I am just going to go over the important points you need to know.
  • Click on adjacent tiles to swap them and create matches of three or more identical tiles in a row.
  • Some tiles have locks on them. You must unlock these tiles by using them in a match of three or more.
  • Complete each level by turning all tiles to gold before time runs out.
  • You have three lives.
  • If you fail to complete a level before time runs out you lose a life and you will have to repeat the level until you complete it successfully.
  • Use the gold you earn to buy buildings for your city. The Buy buttons are located at the bottom of the game screen.
  • This free demo version of Rome Puzzle has 15 levels of play. The paid version has more than 100 levels. So, you will only be able to build part of the ancient city of Rome and not the entire city.

Rome Puzzle Game Options:
  • The sound may be turned on or off by clicking the Menu button. This opens a new screen, then simply check or uncheck the Sound button.
  • You may pause the game by clicking the eye icon located in the upper right corner of the game screen. To return to the game, simply click anywhere on the game screen.

Rome Puzzle Playing Tips:
  • Try to get the locks off of the locked tiles as soon as possible by using them in a match of three or more. This is important because on some levels you will need to unlock certain tiles to release other tiles so they can drop to the bottom.
  • Remember, to complete each level you must turn all tiles to gold. On some levels tiles may require more than one match to turn them to gold. For instance, light blue tiles may turn to dark blue on their first match. Then turn to gold on their second match. Locked tiles always require at least two matches before they turn to gold and sometimes require three.
  • If you get stuck Rome Puzzle will give you a hint by highlighting a possible move.
  • Sometimes you may encounter a situation where there are no possible moves left. When these situations occur Rome Puzzle will insert some new tiles into the puzzle. Then, just continue making matches as usual.
  • Watch for special tools you earn, such as an axe. These special tools will appear at the bottom of the game screen. Should you get stuck, you can use these tools to break a troublesome tile. This can sometimes give you just the advantage you need to make it through a level before time runs out.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: If you are a fan of match 3 games, like I am, you will definitely enjoy Rome Puzzle. If you are not a fan of match 3 games, spend some time playing Rome Puzzle and you will certainly become one!

Other Games: If you like Rome Puzzle you may also like to play Jewel Quest, Around the World in 80 Days, or Fishdom.

Farm Roads

Game Description: Connect the farming community by linking all the isolated roads in order to join the paddocks, plantations, windmills, farm houses and barns. This will ensure that farming life is far more productive and efficient!

How to Play Farm Roads:
  • Start the game at the flashing red signal.
  • Rotate the roads by clicking on the little red blocks which appear when you mouse-over each road section.
  • Navigate your way through the farming community by clicking on the arrows on the left or right hand side of the game to go either East or West.
  • As you connect things to the starting point (that is, to the flashing red signal) objects will instantly ‘spring to life.’ The roads will change from purple to pink. The farm houses and barns will light up. Farm animals will appear in the paddocks. Working sprinklers will pop up in the plantations. And the windmills will rotate.
  • You win the game when you get everything working by connecting everything to the starting point.

Farm Roads Game Options: The sound may be turned on or off by clicking the sound button at the top of the game screen.

Farm Roads Playing Tips:
  • Remember, just because you have a section 'working' does not necessarily mean it is correct. You will have to connect and disconnect things numerous times until you find the correct solution.
  • Also remember, every section of road will need to be connected. This means all road sections must be pink. If you see even a small section of purple road you know you will need to change things in that area.
  • Each farm house or barn has a small piece of road. This will be the final section that connects each structure to the main road. Sometimes these small sections are a little hard to see when they are on top of the buildings. You can clearly see them, but they are a little lighter in color. So, be aware of this.
  • As you connect everything, use the two big arrows on the sides of the game screen to navigate your way. Always work West to East.

Richard's Rating: 4 out of 5.

Comments: Farm Roads takes a little practice before you can get comfortable with it. But it is well worth the effort. Also, each time you play the game the screen will be different and present you with a new challenge! This game will definitely give you a lot of pleasure. A truly excellent game all-around.

Survival Fly

Game Description: Be a fly, and fly around collecting stars to score points. And most importantly, avoid getting caught by one of the two evil frogs.

How to Play Survival Fly:
  • Use your mouse to control the movement of the fly.
  • Score 1 point for each star you can collect.
  • The game is over when your fly gets caught by one of the frogs.

Survival Fly Game Options:
  • Select either the white-winged or the pink-winged fly as your character.
  • The music may be turned on or off by clicking the musical note icon located at the upper left on the game screen.
  • The sound of the fly catching the stars (a slight popping sound) may be turned on or off by clicking the sound icon... also located at the upper left on the game screen.)

Survival Fly Playing Tips:
  • The longer the game goes, the faster and faster the frogs shoot their tongues. (At least I think they are tongues. Do frogs have tongues?) Anyway, try to collect as many stars as you can early in the game to maximize your score.

Richard's Rating: 2 out of 5.

Comments: Survival Fly is sort of a silly, yet fun game.

Other Games: If you like Survival Fly you may also like to play Cake Catcher.

Cat Jigsaw Puzzle

Game Description: Move the puzzle pieces to build a picture of a cat.

How to Play Cat Jigsaw Puzzle:
  • Select your game options. (See the game options description below).
  • After you set your game options, click the 'Mix' button.
  • Use your mouse to drag each puzzle piece back into place.

Cat Jigsaw Puzzle Game Options:
  • Select between square or jigsaw puzzle pieces by clicking the top blue button below the 'Complete' box.
  • If you select jigsaw puzzle pieces you may select different puzzle shapes by clicking the middle blue button below the 'Complete' box.
  • Select which of the 2 cat pictures you want to build (the grey or the brown tabby) by clicking the bottom blue button below the 'Complete' box.
  • You may choose how many pieces you want your puzzle to be. The top up/down arrows set the number of columns. The bottom up/down arrows set the number of rows. For example, if you select 5 in each box your puzzle would have 25 pieces (5 x 5).

Cat Jigsaw Puzzle Playing Tips:
  • I would suggest you set your puzzle somewhere between 25 and 100 pieces. A 100 piece puzzle is very doable, yet will be quite challenging. So there is probably no reason to go beyond 100 pieces.
  • A square piece puzzle will be more difficult than a jigsaw puzzle.
  • If you selected jigsaw shapes, always begin with the top left and lower left corner pieces. These 2 pieces will always fit flush against the corners of the grey background. Once you get these 2 pieces in place then build unto these pieces.
  • As you are building your puzzle keep a careful eye on the 'Missing' box. As you put each piece in its proper place, the missing number will decrease by 1.

Richard's Rating: 2 out of 5.

Comments: The thing I like most about this game is all of the different options you have available. You can make your puzzle as easy or as hard as you wish. Another very cool feature is the 'Missing' box. This tells you beyond any doubt if a piece is placed correctly or not. For those you like jigsaw puzzles, Cat Jigsaw Puzzle should prove to be quite enjoyable.

Word Games Page 1

Here is a nice collection of Word Games for you to play. Word Drop and Wordstacks (my personal favorite), are probably the two most popular word games here on Richard's Game Reviews. At one time I had the highest Wordstacks recorded score, but that was quite some time ago. Unfortunately, for me, I haven't had any time to play it for the past several months. It certainly is a great game though, and I highly recommend that you try playing Wordstacks if you haven't done so already. Another game I recommend is Chicktionary. For some reason it has never been very popular here on my site, but I still think it is quite good. Two other games that I would also recommend would be Text Mate and Wordz Mania. If you like humor in a word game, try Hangaroo which is a hilarious version of Hangman, or try playing Ghost.

Yellow Out

Game Description: Move the cars and trucks to get the yellow car out of the parking lot.

How to Play Yellow Out:
  • Click the Play button.
  • Select your starting level by using the down arrow button. There are 60 levels. You may begin on any level. After that, you will have to continue the levels in numerical order. For instance, if you begin the game on level 20 you would next go to levels 21, 22, 23 and so forth.
  • Your goal is to move the other vehicles out of the way so you can get the yellow car out of the parking lot in as few moves as possible.
  • Use your mouse and drag each vehicle one at a time.
  • Vehicles may be moved forward or backward.
  • Scoring is as follows: Each level begins at 150 points. You lose one point each time you move a car or truck.
  • The score you earn for each level is added to your total score.

Yellow Out Playing Tips:
  • Begin at the lower levels to get warmed up. The higher levels are quite challenging.
  • If you are going to make a move, decide on the move before you grab hold of a vehicle with your mouse. That is because if you grab unto a vehicle and then change your mind and release it with your mouse the game will interpret that as a move and deduct one point.
Richard's Rating: 2 out of 5.

Comments: The game begins easy enough but gets tougher and tougher as you move up each level. To me, the scoring is secondary. I simply get satisfaction in completing each level. But I do wonder what the highest possible score is for Yellow Out?

Wordz Mania

Game Description: Build the required number of words before time expires.

How to Play Wordz Mania:
  • The game consists of 20 levels of play.
  • In each level you need to reach a certain number of words.
  • Words with more letters are worth more points.
  • Sometimes there are bonus words. Bonus words will appear on the right side on the sign post. If you spell a bonus word you receive extra points.
  • Build words by clicking the letters on the board, one at a time, with your mouse.
  • You may build words horizontal, vertical and diagonal, but each successive letter must share a common border with the prior letter.
  • When you complete a word click the GO button (located on the left side of the board.)
  • If the word you have built is on the Wordz Mania list you will receive credit for the word. If your word is not found on the list, you will not get credit for the word, and you will have to build another word.
  • While building a word if you should make a mistake by clicking on the wrong letter, or should you simply change your mind and wish to build a different word, just click on any non-bordering square and begin building again.
  • Letters in green squares are bonus letters. You get more points for using these letters.
  • Letters in red squares have a timer. You MUST use these letters before their timer goes off or the game ends!
  • Once you have clicked a letter with an orange square, you have to use it. If you don't, you will not be able to use it again.
  • There are a few blue squares where the letters keep changing. You may also use these letters to build words.
  • When you see a square with a question mark, this means you may enter any letter you want. Click on this square while you are building your word. Then use your keyboard to enter the letter of your choice. Type your letter on the right sign post in the space indicated. Then click OK.
  • If you press a square with a hidden bomb this changes all letters on the board.
  • The game ends when you fail to advance to the next level (either by runnning out of time, or when a red square letter timer goes off) or when you complete all 20 levels.

Wordz Mania Game Options:
  • You may adjust the graphics to low, medium, or high by clicking the graphics button located at the bottom of the board.
  • The sound may be turned on or off by clicking the sound button also located at the bottom of the board.
  • If you need to take a break, click the break button to pause the game. This control is also located at the bottom of the board.

Wordz Mania Playing Tips:
  • Watch out for the red square letters! Remember, these have a timer. You MUST use these letters before their timer goes off or it's game over!
  • You may use the same word on different levels, but not on the same level.
  • Sometimes you might want to try a combination of letters that you do not think is a word. Maybe it will be on the list of acceptable words and you will luck out.
  • If you get into a really, really desperate situation and you have a lot of red square letters timing down... this is is a longshot, but if you just start clicking random letters on the board you could get lucky and hit a bomb and change the entire board.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Comments: Wordz Mania is not challenging on the lower levels. But, as you go up each level you are required to build more and more words. And not only that, there will be more and more red square letters with their timers ready to go off. Believe me, Wordz Mania is quite challenging indeed. This is the type of game, the more you play it the more you will appreciate it. If you like word games... you should enjoy this one.

ToyRoom Game

Game Description: Drive the remote controlled car in a crowded 3D toyroom. Locate and pop all 8 whirligigs with your car before time expires!

How to Play ToyRoom Game:
  • Use your 4 arrow keys to maneuver the remote controlled car.
  • There are 8 whirligigs to locate and pop.
  • Each of the 8 whirligigs are located at the end of a ramp.
  • Drive the car up the ramps to pop the whirligigs.
  • You earn 1 point for each whirligig you pop. The top score is 8.
  • You have 300 seconds to locate and pop all 8 whirligigs.

ToyRoom Game Playing Tips:
  • To pop a whirligig you will need to drive up the ramp at the right speed, and in the right direction, to hit it with your car.
  • Take time to line up your car before going up a ramp.
  • You will see the first 2 whirligigs immediately when the game begins. They are located on a corner shelf in the toyroom. Pop these 2 first.
  • If you get up on the corner shelf without popping the first whirligig, go back and ram it with your car. Hit it hard enough to pop it, but not too hard, or your car will go flying off the shelf. Then, go up the next ramp and pop the second whirligig.
  • There are lots of toys scattered around the toyroom. The lighter objects like toy blocks and balloons may be pushed out of the way with your car. Heavier objects like large robots and pieces of furniture cannot be moved with your car. Run into these and your car with only bounce off of them.
  • Whenever a large object like a balloon or a piece of furniture obscures your view, maneuver your car until you can see everything clearly.

Richard's Rating: 3 out of 5.

Pro: ToyRoom Game is delightful with marvelous 3D graphics. As with most 3D games when you crash; up is down, down is up, left is right, and right is left. That is, until you get your bearings back again. Losing your sense of direction is both the challenge and the fun of ToyRoom Game.

Con: Occasionally, your car may become stuck and there is no way to get it moving again. Or, it may overturn, and you will be unable to move it. When these occurrences happen, there is no alternative other than to begin the game over again. This doesn't happen very often. But, it does happen enough that I felt I had to mention it.
